Blue wire...

Hooked up my amp but it's getting constant power on the blue ignition accessory wire. Where do I hook this flippin wire to..?? I've tried different spots under fuses in the fusebox and can't get it right.

Anybody know which fuse will work. I had a diagram but it doesn't look like my fusebox. It's the older diagram that looks like my old 5.0

Silly question I know... I'm a noobie hooking up amps but I'm learning...

RED=constant power right to the battery BLACK=ground BLUE=remote it tells the amp when to turn itself on and off aftermarket head units have remote wire outputs hook it to that if it is a factory radio hook it to a key on 12v power wire. radio power works good.

Mach 460 system with an added Alpine M350 for two 12" subwoofers. I just need to know where to hook up my blue wire from the amp to get power only when the ignition is turned back/counter-clockwise......

two options is where i would go:

1. in the plug that goes into your stock mach 460 deck- BLACK w/ PINK
2. at the ignition harness below the steering column - RED w/ LIGHT GREEN

those are both wires that will give you switched power when the get is turned in the ON position, or backwards. good luck

Done. I had to get the stock head unit removed and tapped into the Black w Pink stripe wire. Top second from the left pin. Now it works the way it should.

BTW The head unit is a 6CD mach460. So you can't use that tool to remove the head unit. You have to remove the plastic frame around radio, AC controls and vents...then remove two bolts securing the head unit.

This site rocks... Thanks
