Stereo for my truck?

My factory CD player is keeping my CD's and Chrysler wants $300 to exchange and replace it...no thanks.

I'm thinking about an Alpine CDA-9847 head unit.

What speakers? The Rams call for 6x9s in the door, but I want to go with 6.5 components or maybe a very decent set of 6.5 coaxials.

I want 1 10" under the rear flip up seat in the storage area. I like the idea of pro-box's box (or panel) but I'm curious how a free air sub is going to sound in the truck.

I don't really care about rear door speakers.

What amp to power everything?

Also...I'd like to stay around $750-900, if at all possible.

And like I told the Cartoys jerkbag - NO FOCALS

Probox is not free air. I think the JL Stealthbox sounds better. Many 6x9's require cutting the hole out bigger.

The problem with the JL is the cost. I hate to dump $499 on a sub.

or you could just buy my alpine 9835, check forsale section

2007 GMC Sierra RCSB - It breathes better now and looks better than stock.
2008 Honda 700XX - Doesn't need any mods.

yeah, that would solve all of his problems?

instead of buying a subwoofer and enclosure, he should buy a CD player, very good reasoning.

Naw, Don't care for the style or need that many options.
