Car alarm

I have an autopage RF-405 alarm in my car right now. I'm looking at upgrading to an autopage 855LCD because I want glass breaks, shock sensors, and a proximity sensor. The quotes on changing alarms is like 400$, oh yeah its a remote start. The unit is going to cost like $150. I think 600 to upgrade a car alarm is a little outrageous. Anybody got any ideas or suggestions

You can not "upgrade" the 405 so you are removing an alarm, and reinstalling a new alarm with remote start. Sounds reasonable to me. The 855 does not include glass or proximity sensors.

The 855 is fine, just add a DEI 508D for proximity and glass sensor and you're set.
