Need Help ASAP!!

O,, me and my friend are hooking up his system in his car. Hes had one in there before and it worked fine. But he blew his amp, but we dont know how. Well he took it out and saved up to buy another one and another sub. We build a boxc for the car and the speaker. But back to the problem... Ok, we have it hooked up and its not doing anything nothing is coming through the speaker. I dont know what the deal is. the amp works we know and the speaker works too. But we dont know why its not doing anything?? Can someone please help us out ASAP!! thanks

if the amp is turning on, you maynot have everything connected correctly,


double check that your RCA s are plugged into the deck and amp, double check your speaker wiring, and check output at the amp with a multimeter, check the resistance of the sub with a multi.

if that stuff doesn't get you there, then blow the car up, because it's cursed.

Well we've done all that, we have even ran all new wires from the deck back. the only thing we havent done ti the multi part. will check it out today. thanks

also........

you guys sure the amp was blown?....could be the pre-amp outputs that are smoked on the radio. Try hooking up the amp to another sound source and see if it works.

yeah, any kinda of source would work, try a portible CD player.
