Hook up ipod

Is there any way to hook up an ipod to a aftermarket headunit besides all the fm transmitters. I had an fm transmitter and they aren't good at all, so i was looking for a way to possibly hook up my ipod to my headunit. I have a pioneer premier DEH-P460MP. Thanks

Some Pioneer headunits are iP bus for a changer controller. You can buy an RCA to iP bus adapter for around $25. You would also need a 1/8" stereo to RCA adapter to make it work. Alpine now sells an iPod interface that allows you to control the iPod from the deck and it charges it too.

Reread my post. There is a Pioneer RCA input adapter but it is not a controller for the iPod.

Just an addition to Eric's post, the pioneer adapter piece is called the CDRB 10, or if you need to maintain an open port for CD changer or Satellite radio, the CDRB20.

PIE also makes one.

we have them at car toys.

Double check your model #. The iPOD interface by Alpine is $99. It only works with selected 2004-2005 models.

If the actual iPOD interface won't work, then you can still do an RCA input.
