I've got a 2001 cobra convert, what's a good alarm for it. I will be installing it, so just wanting suggestions.

Just a little thought...

If you dont know what a good alarm is, do you know how to install it?? Have you ever looked into it? You will probably need to diode isolate each door, you will need to install relays for door locks, the trunk (i believe) is negative trigger... Most people think they can put in alarm but it takes quite a bit of knowledge. You can either pay $75 or so for a pro to do it, or try it yourself. If you get 1/2 way through it and decide you cant finish, a place is gonna charge you $100-125 to finish cause they need to start over. What is your wiring expirience?

8mpg is right, there is a lot of diode isolating on the 99+ mustangs, cobra or not. if you've never had experience with it, pay someone to do it.

good luck.. My buddy spent 5 hours on my truck last night installing a Clifford RS3.5 alarm w/ remote start. He has been doing this stuff for 10 years. I sat there watchin him and between diode isolating the door locks, soldering the circuit board for wait to start light and putting in resistors for the door locks made me go crazy. I thought I was going to put it in myself and boy I was wrong
