$300, what speakers can I get???

Ok guys, got $300 for christmas and I've decided to get rid of the crappy stock speakers in my car. I know it's not a lot of money, but I would like to see what kind of 6 1/2" and 5x7" coaxials that you guys would recommend for this type of cash (thank god the parents didn't get me a bestbuy gift card )

I've always liked JL audio speakers, so wouldn't mind if anyone can get me a deal on those.

Thanks

your best bet would be a nice pair or 6.5 components and a small 4 channel amplifier.

run the components off the front two channels and when you can save up for a small single subwoofer (w3 or similar), run it off the back two channels bridged.

you will have a great sounding setup, and have very little total invested.

IMO, using 1 pair of speakers amplified is likely going to give you much better sound overall, although possibly less volume than 2 pairs of coaxials running off of head unit power.

some people are like slinkies; they're completely useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Well some crap went down on the front end of my car, so like always, anytime I come into a large sum of money I have to dump it into my car running first, not sounding and looking nice

Thanks guys, I'll keep it all in mind
