Any reason you are limiting your choices to either of those products? There are much better bass amps out there.

Buell 1125R
Raptor 700R

the subs are single 4 ohm but that isnt the issue. i limit myself to these amps because i have access to them really cheap, i want one amp for each sub, and the only other amp ill have is a jl and they only send out refurbs on accomodation, and i want 300 watts to each sub. i have eclispe amps running all my quarts but they dont make a sub amp i like. also the size of the amps is an issue cause there is a certain way i want my install to look. the xtant amps go better with the whole theme of the system since im doing mtx 8104 subs. and you dont see xtant amps eveyday. well you do adam cause you sell it but you know what i mean. i like old school shit. but those polk amps sound so clean. the damping factor will be better on the xtant but the polk will have a lil more balls. im not making an spl system so i dont know what i wanna do. what im asking is if you had the choice between these amps what would it be? what sub amps do you reccomend BP? thanks for the reply guys.

I like old Kicker stuff personally, the ZR and XS series stuff make some serious power but also take some serious power to run. I currently have an XS50 and I think I might be getting an XS100 for a birthday present

i love the old kicker stuff too, even thier kx series stuff was built really well on the inside but for some reason i never liked the way they sounded. kicker amps always have balls though.

given the choices, i'd roll the xtant stuff, if you're trying to keep on pimping.

if you want to hit hard, you'd be looking at entirely different shit.

you don't like the eclipse 7122?

What I personally try to do is look at the manufacturer's site and see what they recommend.

Valid point, but if you're buying high end subs - the "recommended" amps will probably be high end. Medium, low...etc same concept. However, you do make a point that I realized - but it usually never mattered too me.

Unless you absolutely love JL subs, but hate their amps...or whatever, it should work out pretty well.

but some companies make great amps and shitty subs, or great subs and shitty amps.

Like JL, I like their amps, but i can think of a few subs i'd prefer.

different amps are like cars, just because they make the same power, doesn't mean they drive the same.

do you want a porsche or a ferrari?

Get an MTX Thunder 801D amp for those subs or you could get an MTX MXA8001very good powerful and clean amps and would match your subs...win win win situation
