the mtx 1501d makes ~1200wrms @ 2 ohms 12.5 volts, they WILL run at 1 ohm, but any lower than that, and they'll go bye bye.

You can measure the a/c voltage at the speaker leads when cranked up, do some math and it will give you an idea of the power output at that particular frequency and impedance. I know some of the now banned Atomic amps were doing over 70 volts, compared to the 48 volts my Diamond amp was doing at the same rated power (300 watts into a 4 ohm mono load).

Hey my old red series Orion amp metered out at 2500 watts for a few seconds once right before the magic smoke came out. Seems melted voice coils and an effective 0 ohm load are bad for them.
