Need part info for speaker box in truck

It been about five years since I have touched this... I have tried two amps and am still having the same problem with distorition in my speaker box. When the base goes up the speakers starts to break apart... I checked my speakers and they seem fine..., however I don't really have another system to really take them up to full potential.. There is a little box like piece that ties into the back stock speakers and then runs to the amp...does anyone know this part number or description... I think I got this at best buy... Also, has anyone ever had this problem.....

i believe you are refering to the line level converter that converts the speaker wire to RCA's. Try replacing that first. I am assuming you are still using the stock radio which could also be the source of your problem with its bass shutoff to prevent speaker damage. Send me all of info on your equipment and i will be glad to help. You can reply here or go to the soliscustom.com contact page and fill out the info there. Hope it helps.....

Yes that's it "Line Level Converter" does anyone know the part number? I am using the stock system and have been using this setup for about five years. I was using a 2 channel 110 watt amp made by Optimus, however just replace it with a 2 channel 80 watt a Road Gear amp... Have the same problem with both...
I might try to replace the speakers next...

Thanks
