The following outlines the installation of the Forte Adustable Clutch Quadrant I did on my car a few weeks ago. Alot of people have had problem with this install, mainly because the directions weren't included in their box.

Directions:

1. Move the seat back as far as you can. If you are a large individual, either remove the seat of find a small buddy and buy him a six pack to do it for you. Its a tight fit to get in there.

2. Remove the two pins holding in the plastic quadrant with the pliers. Pull the quadrant out. You may need uadrant out. You may need to move the pedal around to get it out but it will come out.

3. Remove the pawl by taking a screwdriver and prying around on it. Its only held on by the ends of the spring. You DO NOT have to remove the pedal assembly.

4. Use a 5/16 socket to remove the cable clamp on the fame rail. Use a 1/4 in socket to remove screw holding in the rubber bushing on the firewall that the cable goes through.

5. Pull the cable out of the bushing. On the white part, there are 4 small tabs. Use a utility knife to cut them off.

6. Remove the bushing from the firewall. It will not be used anymore.

7. Put some RTV on the inside lip of the red adonized piece so it seals against the firewall.

8. Insert the red part with the thumb screw into the firewall where the bushing was.

9. Insert the clutch cable into the thumb screw. Bolt down the cable bracket to the frame rail.

10. Install the nylon washer on the post that the old quadrant was installed on. It is the one farthest from the firewall. Install the aluminum quadrant where the plastic one was. It only uses one of the pins. Make sure that the tail of the quadrant is above the post closest to the firewall. It uses it as a stop.

11. Make sure the thumb screw is screwed all the way in and use a pair of pliers to get the cable onto the new quadrant.

12. drant.

12. Adjust the aluminum thumb screw and you are DONE!
