Jesus . . . If you're against the war movement, at least sound somewhat intelligent. You must understand that there are three separate groups in this situation. Saddam, Al Qaeda, and the Iraqi population. Here's the Break Down:
The People the U.S. Gov't Doesn't Like: Saddam and Al Qaeda The People the U.S. Gov't Doesn't Want to Kill: The Iraqi Population The People that Show A Threat To the U.S. Population: Saddam And Al Qaeda The People that Show NO Threat to the U.S. Population: The Iraqi Population The People that need to be taken out With Brute Force Saddam and Al Qaeda I wish to all the protestors on this board and around the nation would FOR GODS SAKE Remember this . . . It's not gawd damn Rocket Science!!! ![]() Anyone who is a Gulf War Vet. or knows one who was knows that the Iraqi Population will surrender to the American Troops because they know we're coming to help . . . they won't say it now or in the past because they knew they'd be killed for doing so. And also . . . stop bitching about the President sending American Troops in harms way. Do you honestly think that he wants to do that??? Hell No!!!! One of the GREATEST Things about this country is that we have the GREATEST MILITARY IN THE WORLD and it's 100% VOLUNTARY!!!! That means that if you don't want to live the life of being called to duty at the will of the president, then you don't join the military. I don't want to live that life, so I'm not military . . . so jebus, stop bitching about that also. <--- Hates Hippie Democrats . . . . they need to shut the fuck up. |

Your not ranting dude, well put. Not many of the protesters on this board are brave enough to say it outright, they post generic threads worrying about innocent Iraqi people dying. I wonder if those liberal pukes were upset at the innocent Americans who were killed on 9/11? And man watch them crawl out of the woodwork if there is another attack on our soil. Every last one of them would blame Bush for not doing something. So now that he is doing something, they worry about poor Iraqi civilians.
Give me a break! |

That's what I was thinking when I heard protestors on the news chanting "How Many Lives Have To Be Lost?" I wanted to yell back "[Number] Aparently" (Insert exact number lost from 9/11 in the [Number]) . . . THOSE STUPID FUCKS!!!!

No shit man, well put! USAF here, ready to go. Unfortunately, I probably won't though. These idiots need to realize that the majority of us WANT to go over there and do something about this. No, we don't want to kill a bunch of babies and mothers, or Iraqi military personell for that matter, but rather just do what needs to be done. People who have no clue just need to shut the fuck up.

Last night we heard the speech on the radio up here at work and the girl behind me starts yelling " I can't believe we put that guy into office! We don't want to go to war, we want freedom!" I turned around and said "Why do you think we are going to war? We are going so that we can protect our freedom. We are going to war to protect the freedom of other countries that can't even realize it yet."

i agree Maston.....I get tired of hearing all the anti war protesters complaining about sending our boys in harm's way. sure no one wants our boys hurt over there.......but they have to remember they volunteered and signed up for the military knowing the risks......they weren't forced to make that decision. It is a risk we all take to protect our freedom, their freedom.
What makes me laugh more is the mentions of "will the war interfere with the Oscars?"....lol.....who the hell cares!!!! so your precious oscars might be delayed to protect your freedom. deal with it! |

I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said, "Dont have strong oppintions on things you dont know about". I just thought that fit this thread well.

The price of freedom is high and we must flex our muscle every
now and then. Other wise we would be speaking russian or some other language pretty fast. No matter who says what we MUST stand behind our troops in the field and anti-war people need to understand that.

I wish everyone could have seen PBS's Frontline "Gunning for Saddam." It was an awesome documentary/show that outlined Saddam's rise to power and the cruelty he enforced on his way up as well what was going on in his regime during the Gulf War to 2002. If you get a chance to watch it... do so, it will help all of you that don't want this war to happen to understand why it needs to happen and soon!
Our President, current and previous, and government have given him well over enough time to comply. Time is up! http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/gunning/ Last edited by Slowbra; 03-18-2003 at 03:57 PM. |
