PM operation FAQ

It took me a few minutes but I think I figured it out.

When you first click on the User CP, you get a listing of all of your new PM's. Apparently I didn't do the import quite right and it imported all of your PM's as unread. To clear these out and mark them as read, it looks like you will need to click each one. If you click it, hit the back button, then refresh, you will see its gone.
I looked for a "Mark all a read" button but there isnt one.

While on that page, You see the words "new Private Messages",
"View all Private MEssages" and "Private Messaging" a little above the other to and to the right. These are all link to take you to your Inbox. There you will find every thing you have received.

There is also an Outbox that has everything you sent. You can change which onw you are looking at by using the "Jump to Folder" pulldown.

Right next to the words "Date/Time Sent" in the header, there is a checkbox to the right. If you check that, it will check all the messages on that page and then you can mass move or delete them.


There is a button at the bottom labeled "Folders" . You can create more folders than just an inbox and outbox. You can make a folder for a certain person you receive alot of PM;s from and move them all there to store them.

The Message tracking is a neat feature where you can tell if someone has read the PM you sent them if you had selected "read receipt" when you sent it. Its on by default.


Yes , the PM system on this board is alot more complicated than the UBB hack I had on the other one. But this can do SOOOO much more. Play with it and I am sure you will grow to really like it.
