Has anyone read the "Left Behind" series of books?

Man, those are addictive. I'm on the seventh on right now....

Does anyone know of any other good Christian fiction?

I've read the first two in the series, very well written IMO.

There's good book I read once called "Jerusalem the City of God", and it was a fictional account of the city of Jerusalem but based on non-fictional occurences. The author is Ellen Gunderson Traylor, she has also written several other books... one of my favorites is Joseph: Dreamer of Dreams and Esther. Both of those are really good as well.

Ive read the first 3 or 4. I enjoyed them, and want to finish them off. 1/2 price books is a good place to them them at a discount.

All the Frank Peretti books are exceptional. Well, the ones I've read anyway. 'This Present Darkness', The sequal to that book - can't remember the name. And 'The Oath'. The first two books give a very interesting look into spiritual warfare and prayer. Great reads.

Any time. Also if you haven't read Leon Uris, you should check out his book Exodus, it's not really a "christian" book per se, but more a ficitional account of the country of Israel and how it was "re-born". Very gripping.

Doh. I can't believe I forgot Frank Peretti. His books are great too. The Oath, This Present Darkness, and Piercing the Darkness are some of my favorites.

Also, if you like to read some good inspirational books, check out Max Lucado. He's also very good.

I was thinking along the lines of fiction, but Max is the man! Put us CofC'ers on the map..

He roomed with my preacher at ACU and comes to our church to speak about once a year - awesome!

I'll post next times he's in town.

Yeah I know Max Lucado is really non-ficition, but I had to include him. I love his books.

John Hagee? (San Antonio minister, 1/2 way through one of his books it's good though)

I buy the newest Left Behins books the day (or soon after) they come out for my wife. She reads them in 2-3 days and then has to wait months for the next one. She is a much faster reader than I so I let her fill me in book to book.
