engine cleaning
I asked this question in another forum, but I'm gonna post it here anyway,,,,
I was wondering how do most of you clean your engines?? do most use a hose and wash it down or do you remove certain parts and wipe it down.... Thanks in advance, |

Well I'm probably not the best person to answer this question (my compartment is about normal for most car owners here and I'm far from fanatical about keeping it clean) but I normally try to clean it at home (I've had bad luck with the high pressure water at the car wash) with either engine degreaser or Simply Green. A brush and some elbow grease is all I use. Sometimes I'll borrow my bro-in-law's high pressure cleaner if I make a particular nasty mess or if I want to clean the underside of the car.
