I've played the demo on Xbox Live, looks legit. Def an upgrade to the first one I hope they still have a story mode though, those guys are effin hilarious.

GD! i know you always have some beast of a vid card, but it's not going to do very well on the beta. apparently it's 6 months old and not optimized for graphics yet.

i'm getting 50-60fps at medium settings @1920x1080 with a 9800gtx+ on an i7 920 machine

i'm a graphics whore, i dont have a girlfriend and i don't have that many bills.
so I spend my monies on computers.
with that said, i still havent been able to find a buyer for both my gtx285s

I was able to play a bit the other day at a friends house, and this game looks the shit. I want it now.

just got the beta, fun game.
performance isn't that great, but its very playable.
2560x1600 all high, 4xAA and 8xAF.
This game needs some optimized drivers, sli IS working though which is great!

More like The original bad company than anything. Gameplay has a very different feel to it with the vehicles and all. Only paid like half a match last night. Haven't messes with any of the settings yet.

The destructable environment is cool, but it causes people to tank camp, and tank campers are annoying as fuck. It's irritating like the noob tubers and glitchers.

Im playing the demo on PS3 BTW...

as fun as it is making people butthurt in this game, GTA4 multiplayer is still much more fun... damn game is just too funny.

The aim is sloppy compared to MW2 which sometimes makes it difficult to aim long range. I had lots of fun playing either way. Also, it takes many more bullets to kill people in this game. I played on Xbox 360 so the aiming is probably not an issue on the PC which I will be buying it for anyway.

Holy shit! I need to pop that shit back in. That game was fun, but the only thing I didnt like is how you couldn't re-start your multiplayer game. IE you had to wait for the game to fill back up on a new match. Did they fix this?

essentially it's the same thing. The only difference is the gameplay has been slightly modified. The BF series is damn fun. BC2 will knock it out of the park. I already pre-ordered. I've never pre-ordered a game in my life.

I finished the engineer kit yesterday, going to go for the sv8 or whatever on the recon kit.
I've been having some bad ass games, I played during lunch yesterday and romped ass in a low pop server (8 vs 8), I think i scored somewhere around 4~5k points.

In a 32player match yesterday I parked the "not abram's tank" can't remember the name, i think the armored vehicle with the 50cal (someone correct me please). in the "garage' with all the shipping containers. The port area basically. Yeah no real strat I know, but I was murdering people left and right with my gunner. It took forever for them to take the building down with me in it simply because I got stuck. And with engineer's repairing me, we won the match before they could get to the last push.

I got an easy 55 kills that match.

I can't get the hang of recon on defense, i don't do well in on that side of things. Recon on attack is more like it for me at least.

Ive tried it w/ joystick on BF2. I was waaaaaay better with the mouse

you can do it with the mouse as well, you just need experience flying them, do a lot of practice.

You need a joystick for jets though, fucking impossible to fly with a mouse to any degree of accuracy or skill. You might strafe a target, or land it occasionally, but the moment you get into a dog fight with someone using a joystick....you're screwed. Unless you have a proper joystick with a collective axis, the mouse is going to be better for helicopters .

it's always been the same story... always had to fight my ass off for helicopters. I'm playing BC2 on the xbox this time around, and the controls for the helicopter are fucking terrible in my opinion, I can't figure out what the fuck is going on - it takes me 10 seconds to figure out how to do a 180... I'm sure the PC is much better. When I played BF2 and desert combat, I could land a loach in a building.

lol helicopter with the keyboard... you need to adjust your mouse sensitivity, or get a gaming mouse where you can change your sensitivity on the fly.

you have to use the keyboard too lol. collective and yaw with WASD and then roll and pitch with your mouse as well as fire

Apache rockets seem way too low powered and have no splash damage. It seems like we only get to fire Hydras and not the hellfires (which if you look, ARE mounted to the armament wings...disabled in beta?)

But the gunner is what really cooks the opp team. I had a really good gunner and we just sat off shore and I just elevated and descended to they couldn't get tracers/rockets on us and he just super-zoomed and took out 50+ tickets before we got stupid and up close.

It does feel like it's flying a brick even with a Saitek Joy.

I am USAF ReallyBadPilot if anyone wants to befriend me.

Fly the UAV high and over the Apache if they are sort of stationary, then hammer the UAV (crash it) into the tail of the Apache and it will take them out by putting em into a spin or dive he can't recover from.
