Agreed, went through it for a couple months at the end of last year.
Hope you find something soon.

I see friends suffering through this bullshit economy and can't help but feel very thankful that I'm in a relatively secure job.

I took 7 months off one year. Was never bored for a day. Girlfriend encouraged me to go back to work or I would have stayed that way for a year.
BTW. FedEx has 132 pages of jobs at fedex.com |

I was off for 8 months this year.. It sucked for sure, my wife said I was much more pleasant to be around the day I accepted the position 2 months ago. Were back on track now but NEVER want to go through that again..... So much for savings... At least it WAS there..lol

the best thing you can do is keep trying. buy a gym membership and go workout. it gives a sense of accomplishment and helps with the stress of not having a job. Ive almost been laid off 2 times in 7 months and now am now i dont even work out of texas and im fine with it. Worst job market in 25+ years and it shows

I didn't get paid for the last three months of last year but I was still working. Now that really sucks! (i was a business owner).
My contract is running out at the end of this year, and so far i've heard no word on whether i'll get renewed or not. It sucks working out of town, but it sucks worse not working at all. I'm really not looking forward to beating the streets for another job with the sour economy right now, but i'm not proud either. Proud doesn't pay the bills. |

I worked for Siemens in northern Texas. Made almost 60k in one year. Devoted 3 years of my life to them workin all the OT I could and then bam! We've been ordered to escort you off site! Never a write up or anything! Not even late to work! I ran my own tech team and everything, while I was up tower! Well, to make a long BS story short that was almost 2 years ago and it sucks! But all my honey do's are done and I have some really nice rides now!
F$%& them all the way to DC and back those D$%& suckers! Peace! |

I was out for 6 weeks and it was torturous to be honest. It sucked. You'd like to do things around the house, but that costs money. You don't want to spend, because there is no telling how long you'll have to ride it out.
We can thank our government and the Harvard College of Business for shipping all the jobs overseas. The really scary part is that while unemployment is officially 10%, it's somewhere way higher than that in reality. With our censored press, we're not even sure of the actual numbers. If the number gets too high, rest assured they will change the way they count it again. |
