The guy driving the car in the second video is Ranger, he has a c6 z that runs 10.85 bonestock on stock tires also.

I think he has since run 10.60's. At least I saw it posted on a Drag Racing web site. Even with the stock tires.

Jamie Furman ran a 10.9 stock, but it was with some crazy cold weather up in Jersey... Ranger's fastest was a 11.1 stock Im pretty sure on, the 10.6 is modded, and the 10.8 was with DRs... Jamie's was 100% stock.

At one point FoMoCo asked to have access to a $9 Billion dollar line of credit. They never accepted it due to make independent credit loans and restructuring along with concessions with the UAW. And did the smart thing by selling Jaguar, Land Rover, and Aston Martin. They are keeping their head above water due to make good business decisions under Mulally's leadership. They are showing all signs of a financially healthy company with the sales from the new F150, Mustang, and Taurus.

Can GM make an awesome car, sure. However, having bragging rights is dubious if you take the financial status of GM into consideration. The U.S. Government owns 60% equity in GM. That's not cool in any regards. That's a total disaster.

How many other $103k cars are capable of the ZR1's performance? The 599GTB is the only thing from the factory that is close to the same performance and it's over $300k. The LP560 Gallardo is nearly double the price and still gets whipped by the ZR1.

To the ZR1's defense, it doesn't cost $150k like the GT did. I cant view that video from my iPhone, but like I said the first time around... *I* meaning me, myself.... have not seen a Ford GT run anywhere south of an 12.000. So read smarter, not harder. I can post the few passes I do have. One of which the GT nearly gets beat by a new CTS-V. < and cheaper yet!!

I was agreeing with you I love the ZR1, but the GT is a cooler car just because its more of an exotic, and will hold it's value a lot better just because they made a lot fewer of them.
