4.6 trick flows...

im not a huge fan of mod motors myself, but i read today on another board...

4.6
stock intake
comp 278's
long tubes
with pi heads came in at 305rwhp
with 38cc tf's made 353rwhp!!!! thats actually kinda cool to me...still nothing super, but not too shabby when youre use to seeing 300 and down on these cars...

I've been curious to see what these heads will do. That's really good for 2v.

Wow. That's much better than ported stockers and 278's. Ask me how I know.

That would have been a good gain over stock heads but that is over ported heads . Looks like those heads were worth the waite .

they are already out... fox lake is doing a special on port work for them... they flow what a non ported 4v head flows out of the box...

ported they can do really well...

imagine a big bore stroker with these heads and a set of custom spec cams.. i see 400rwhp NA from the 2vs soon... its been done with the 4vs already... hell 700rwhp NA has been achieved with a 5.4 4v....

these heads are def worth the money.. they are shipping the NA version now from what i understand the PA ones will be available shortly...

I want to see if they last. Too many head manufacturers lately have started using cheap valves lately and trashing motors. I was going to try a set of these but not wanting to trash my mega-buck shortblock to be the guniea pig. I hope all works out well and I will be watching that thread for sure as the car is one of my fellow AI competitors up north.

What I don't get is that we have been told all along the intake was the bottle neck and now it appears the head design was....? I can only imagine what those heads on my car with the P51 and larger cams would do?!

What are they going to cost? $2k,? I want to get a set and have about $2.5k to play with.

What do yall see a car with the P 51 intake, 75mm throttle body, CAI, tpx262 cams and full exhaust (lt's, hf catted X, slp's).

$2k....I have talked to Cushman Motorsports and I think he is quoting $1995. They still haven't hit the street yet so most all prices are backorder prices. I will wait till they prove out first before I drop that much coin on a set.

The cams are probably a little small for the heads and intake you want....

how do you figure??? if naz can make 450rwhp with a big bore and some c heads (which the trick flows flow right there with them) how can this setup not make that...

Ported trick flows
custom cams
big bore kit...

FOR SURE 450+ with a high comp motor notched pistons and all... they will clear 500rwhp just give it time...

Where are you bringing 4V heads into this conversation? We are talking 2V heads here genius.... Just because a trick flow casting comes close to a 4V head doesn't mean shit when it comes to trying to make that power above 6000 rpm. I don't see 575 crank hp out of a 304 cube motor unless there is 17:1 compression and 10,000 rpm.....nor would it last very long either!

There is a video of a white 99 cobra making 450rwhp na over in germany. Not sure but I bet that's close to 500 at the crank. It's is the 4v heads though.

99+Cobra+vs.+03+Cobra

Looks like it has made 537rwhp all motor.

Correct, as far as the bumpers goes. Same car just made 537RWHP all motor! Trapping 129 MPH on a 4.6l based......all motor @ 3600LBS! www.naztyperformance.com

What are the flow rates on these heads?

I knew they were better than ported PI heads, but I thought they still fell below 3v and 4v heads.

I know Scott and Jim VERY well....they built my race motor. I can also tell you, he would laugh if you told him someone would make 500rwhp NA with a 2V with ANY head on it! I see 400rwhp potential, maybe even 430...that's about it though.

I'm glad someone finally had the balls to build a 2V mod head, however, like I said, I want to see how the valves and springs last before I put $2000 in heads on top of a $5k shortblock doing what I do to it!

Looks like it has made 537rwhp all motor.

Correct, as far as the bumpers goes. Same car just made 537RWHP all motor! Trapping 129 MPH on a 4.6l based......all motor @ 3600LBS! www.naztyperformance.com

Very impressive and that thing sounds fucking awesome at full tilt. I'm still going to have to say that's far beyond the normal results for a N/A mod motor.......

Most mod motor guys don't ever go into the engine like that. They just slap power adders on them which is fine too.

I'm glad someone finally had the balls to build a 2V mod head, however, like I said, I want to see how the valves and springs last before I put $2000 in heads on top of a $5k shortblock doing what I do to it!
i just see more then that coming out of it......

but like i said only time will tell...

Why? Get them ported and they'll flow nicely.

A go kart chassis with a live rear axle could also interest me.

VT really????

a custom grind is also better then the off the shelf cam setup as it can be tailored to your needs....

call comp or crower and tell them your plans and what you wanna do then they will say this would be the setup...

call them both so you can look to see the difference...

then find a off the shelf cam setup close to it.. if you dont wanna order a set of custom ones...

VT / CMS stage 2's are a good cam for a mild setup .. if you don't agree then you are obviously dumb.
