Flat Black Z06

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDrWki7TUIs

I am in the business and know better then to get emotional about a car. I got word this guy is selling it. I am thinking about picking up for my personal use. What do you guys think about this Vette?

I'm not a fan of the flat black. It looks cheap to me (even on an $80,000+ car). Sounds good though. I say wait for one with regular paint to pop up and get that and mod similarly (besides the paint).

Im a fan of flat black (or even some flat colors) but that thing looks rattle canned. I might change my mind with some good pics but that vid must not have done the car justice.

Really? I thought it looked better then some flat black cars I've seen. Hell, I'm a primer grey fan -on the right car.

Guess I'm going to have to look up some better looking flat black cars. Are there particular things you noticed wrong? looks even and clean to me, but I'm no expert either.

I am a flat black fan. I was going to wrap my 04 Orange Turbo car Flat black for awhile if I kept it. I think it looks nasty and different.

I would probably put flat black CCW's or Forged 360 wheels on w 345 drags on the rear. Probably would add a supercharger or twins shortly after...

I am buying a Silver 06 that one of my sales guys is buying from us. Has some tasteful goodies on it. Drove it today. I am ruined.

Still on the fence on this one and working on selling myself on it.... lol

Regardless, I say 6 months or less I will have one.

If you like it Brandon, then get it. Liking/loving something makes it a whole lot easier to make the payments.

No sir. They have it running and we are breaking it in. Had a head gasket issue during the break in so now the motor is back out. When breaking it in we found out how many miles is on the body. Car has 9,800 miles on it. Build is brand new.

Getting ready to put back in and get it right. Break it in...tune it...and we are off!

I just ordered some custom gauges for it. You can actually down load any image you want on the back ground. They are incredibly accurate with A/F ..boost ect. Blanking on the name of them at the moment. Travis said we got them in though. Haven't decided what I am going to download on to them yet. We are also going to black out all the emblems and exhaust. That will match the Black stripes and powder coating on the motor.

Once it is done. I will probably sell due to the Z bug. lol

I would have my company buy it. The thing I face as a business owner is using my cash for it. Although it is ok to splurge sometimes...not always the wisest business move. This is why I drive whatever I have ... lol

That Z is keeping me up at night though....lol

That car is Satin Black.

You can wrap a car in satin black vinyl and it look like paint. I have done two and they turned out awesome. Im in the process of wrapping my Diesel 2500 truck in Satin White vinyl.

Did you figure out how to wrap the truck since it was so big. I remember awhile back you said the vinyl was too short because of the size of the truck

If I keep the Orange Cobra I was thinking about wrapping it Satin Black. That way I could change back in the future if I or someone else wanted.

I agree with those that said they like flat black but that car doesn't look right. It looks rattlecanned to me too. The finish just doesn't seem consistant.

I saw a flat black Lambo recently that was absolute tits.

I have had second thoughts. I asked if the car had been wrecked. Thanks to the tip off from Vandlay.

I told him that I heard that a Flat Black Z06 hit a wall in Vegas. It was repaired out of pocket. Was this the car?

We were talking until I asked him that question. After that...no corresponce.

hmmmm.....I am not saying this was the car...interesting none the less.

Power of the internet and community!

I'm not a fan of the flat black either, looks like it was wrecked and shade tree mechanic'd back together.

But, from what I hear, flat black paint absorbs police radar!

The whole flat black/murdered out/etc. shit is way past played out now. I'm not sure why everyone is trying so hard to please the tastes of ricers and 8 year old kids.

I'm dropping my Cobra off with them on Monday or Tuesday to swap out the chip from SCT to Diablo and give it a Las Vegas tune. Let me know if you buy the Z06 between now and then and I'd be willing to drive it out to Dallas for you. Just bein' friendly, y'know.
