Ennis blows
Drove out there AGAIN (last week was cancelled at the gate after I drove all the way out there due to crosswinds) and they're running 1/8 mile because of the crosswinds today. I voiced my displeasure with Ashley, the track coordinator.
If you're going to fucking run 1/8 or cancel, how about changing the message when you call or fucking updating your website. I'm really sick of their shit. Fuck their customer service. I called 5 times this morning before driving out there and no fuckface picked up. Pardon my French. Wasting my motherfucking time is what they're doing.

The air was -1400+ DA. It was damn good weather. Is my Vette going to blow off the track with a 20mph crosswind? Give me a fucking break. I wanted an 11 second slip and would have had it easily with the DA.
I do not have a problem with the track's decision to change from 1/4 to 1/8, but FUCKING LET PEOPLE KNOW, so they don't drive down there if they don't want to run 1/8 or be told the test and tune is cancelled with crosswind (as happened last weekend). No bitches were answering the phone this morning, no bitches updated the voicemail message, no bitches updated the website. That is my beef.

wheres the beef? well, i bet they hope that die hards like you dont wreck thier shit. because, they would be worried that people like you would probably get on dfwstangs crying that they let you race the clock on a windy day,and made you wreck your 11sec race car. |

Again, just provide a mechanism to let people know what is going before they drive down there. If the test and tune is cancelled or if it's moved from 1/4 mile to 1/8 mile, LET PEOPLE FUCKING KNOW BEFORE THEY DRIVE DOWN TO BFE ENNIS. Put it on the website, update the phone message, have someone actually answer the fucking phone. That's it.
I can handle my car and if I put in the wall, that's my own problem. That's highly unlikely to happen though.

It's just the lack of respect that Ennis seems to have for people that invest time and money to go down there to make some passes only to be told the event is cancelled or they switched to the 1/8 mile.
If you don't want to listen to my rant, then get the fuck out of my thread.

Ennis has been doing this same stuff ever since it opened. Hell, I trailered down there and they were closed. Perfectly sunny saturday. You take your chances with them.

I called about 10:45, and got an answer from the ladies and they told me it was shut down to 1/8mile???
So I went to TXR to race. Anyone who raced yesterday would be glad they shut down to 1/8mile. Hell it was a fun ride at TXR with head/cross winds after you get around the bleachers.

Oh I thought it was, car slingshotting toward the center-line at around 400ft. Shoot trying to judge last night was a pain in the ass though everytime you'd look over your shoulder the car would make it's move haha.

Also, racing at ennis with a strong cross wind is no fun. When you shoot out past the end of the bleachers and the wind can get to you your car will take a sudden right (or left turn). And this is in a heavy ass old firebird. I can totally see why they would restrict it to 1/8 mile.

Hey I saw your blue Cobra when I left Ennis after complaining to management about running the 1/8th. I was in the silver C6 that was parked next to your trailer as you were unloading. Sorry I didn't say hi as I was pissed off.
