rebuild kit for a tube-fed marlin .22?
some of you might remember the thread where i was having problems with my marlin .22
well i broke it all down and it was dirty as fuck! ![]() but the problem is still there about 2 or 3 rounds out of the 16(tube magazine) will get stuck from not ejecting all the way. sometimes it won't even clear the chamber. is there a rebuild kit of some sorts? or should i have a gunsmith take a look at it?thanks |

A bunch of parts come up when you search, "Marlin 60," on Brownell's, but you might call them and be more specific. If all else fails, see if you can get one of these local gurus to look at it.

I finally chunked mine, it did the same thing and the 3 gun smiths I contacted said "go buy a new one"
Well, actually, it got stolen. Sucks for them.

Have you tried a different brand of ammo. I know my Ruger 10/22 will stove pipe every other shell, if I am shooting Federal loads. All other loads eject just fine.

Honestly, if it is your first gun, and you don't want to part with it, send it to Marlin and get it repaired RIGHT.

I guarantee when you get it back, you'll go shooting and thank yourself for getting it done. |
