Questions for walkers/runners
I've been walking/jogging 4 miles 3 times a week for about 3 weeks now. The last time I walked my ankles swelled up. It hasn't happened before and I think it might be from my new shoes. Anyone else ever experience this problem? It's been two days now and they are STILL swollen!!!

How do you run ? I mean do you step softly or hard ? like slamming your foot down everytime you step. This could cause it !
It kinda sounds like you don't have good circulation around your feet ! |

I think I do jog hard, plus I jog on concrete. I'm going to try jogging in the grass next time and taking softer steps. Hopefully they won't swell up like that again.

Yes I was joking, just ice them down. I have broken both of my ankles a couple of times, yes a couple of times. Is it a sore pain or a sharp pain? If it is a sharp pain you could have some stress fractures from running if you haven't run in a while. Ice, Ice ,Ice for like 15minutes at a time. If not call Dr. Dillian He has worked on my ankle, when it was broken bad, 3 knee surgeries for my mom and one for my brother..he is really good. Let me know if you want the number his office is in Fort Worth.
