Should I sell it?

I have lost interest in the wagon and have battled with myself for a while, if I should keep it till I want to mess with it or put it for sale. What do you suggest?

You already built one, I can see you getting bored with the second. Don't you have a shoebox to work on anyway? I know it's really your dads, but too many coals in the fire can burn a person out.

I have 2 sets of wheels and a wolfe 10 point, all kinds of shit for the car. I have all the interior and front clip, just no interest at this point in my life to finish it. Dont get me wrong I still wanna drag race but I just don't feel the wagon right now, and it maybe just that im to lazy and there is not enough time for all the work that needs to be done to finish it and I have too many projects.

You are so right, and I think thats what iv done to myself. Not to mention a 1 year old little man that takes up large portion of my heart and time now. I used to stay up all night long and work on shit till it was driving , where is that drive and energy.

We're all getting older man. I don't even have a kid, but I've got a big house to work on, and it's tiring. It's a rare day I want to go out into the hot garage and turn wrenches any more, even with a badass car sitting out there.

I suggest putting it on the back burner and just work on it when you have spare time. Their is no sense kicking yourself in the ass and wishing you had not sold the car. ( That is if you decide to sell) 6 kids here and still have my projects!

Interested in a straight up trade? Bird for the wagon...Then you got yourself a rear end for the other project we talked about and wont feel bad if you break it..hahaha

thats what I would do. Don't sell just put it up for awhile and mess with it when you have the drive to get it going again. Cause I'm sure it will hit you just might take some time.

I remember you pitting next to me at the Dale once with the old wagon. Man that thing was fun to watch.

I am in the same boat as you John. Working on cars all day and then trying to work on your own, just doesn't work. All my time after I shut the shop down is spent with the kids, or working on shop stuff, materials, invoices, quotes, bills, etc... If someone came along with a decent offer for my car, there would be no doubt, it would be sold.

i know what ya mean john, everyone asks when i am gonna get another car, and honestly i dont really want one right now, or anytime in the future... there is just so much more going on in my life, that i dont have the hours a day to focus on a car... but if i did have one, i would just let it sit until a later time...

Hey I'm coming to get my shit Saturday or Sunday...I'll call you. I would say keep the wagon. Atleast make some passes in my car first and then decide...

Sit on it awhile before you decide to sell it. Besides, its worth alot more running than a rolling chassis.

Coming from someone who almost sold their shit - I'd sit it in the corner, and just wait it out. Work on it when you have a few extra bucks, or a few extra hours.

Not to mention, that when you sell it - you will most likely lose your ass compared to what you have invested. IMHO, It's better to sit on it for a while and work on it when you can - as opposed to getting rid of it now and losing thousands of dollars.

My stuff sat for almost 15 years. When I finally had time/money to get back to it I was glad I had not gotten rid of it. Starting from scratch sucks financially.

I agree with mike, if its not costing you money to sit there, let it, in 5-10yrs when you want it back, it will still be there, waiting.

John I went through the same thing with my Malibu. Thought it about it for months and finally pulled the trigger to let it go. Since I pieced all the speed parts out separate I got all my money back and maybe made a little. All my new in the box parts I sold at the prices I paid since everything had gone up in price.

I paid off the rest of my dept and have dumped the rest in the 66 Cutlass you saw last fall in Rowlett. I second guessed myself at first but I don't even think about it now. I can cruise with the family and don't have to worry about race gas, nitrous and entry fee just to get to drive the car.

Sounds like John has resigned himself to a life of being slow and old and married!

Get that damn thing together! You've been working on it what, 3 years now?
