Really bad day

Hello Brandon & Joe!!! Hope things a going well for you all. I thought I would share this nightmare of a story with you all. As you know, I so badly want a Cobra. I have talked with Brandon on the forums & Joe on the phone. Both of you have been really nice to me & I thank you for that. I fell in love with the 04 redfire cobra you had. I was just a tad late & you sold to another lucky fan. I was online & saw a car that was for sale that looked like the same car but this was an 03. So my wife & I drove 3 hours to go look at this car. The car has 14,000 miles on it. I told two of there sales people that I was NOT driving my wifes car down in the wet salty roads. If I liked the car & the numbers where close I then would bring it down. I asked if I should bring pictures & the said no. So again, we drive 3 hours & walk up to the dealership & the salesman we talked to comes out. First thing he says is "where is the car?". OMG..... I already want to smack the kid. I told him I brought my laptop with pictures of our mustang. He walks us in to the cobra. First thing I notice is the front bumper. It looked like someone ran it in the Daytona 500 & bump drafted with it 499 miles out of the 500. LOTS of big rock chips & big scuffs. The rest of the paint was not to bad but I didnt go OMG what a nice paint job. The inside of the car was clean. When I say clean, I mean no tears or stains. They never gave the inside a vac. It was like a sand box on the floors & back seats. My wife of all people noticed that the chrome exhaust tips looked like crap. They never even tried to clean them, not like it would have helped. The inside & outside of our GT would put this car to BIG shame!!! They had a tag on the car with the price. It was $32,999 on sale for $30,999. This was not even close to a 30k car!!!! I've been looking at them for 2 months now & this car was a 23 or 24k car. The guy tells me they put BIG money in the car. They added a cold air kit & a smaller charger upper pully & belt. Thats it. Now I know thats not free but lets be real. They should have spent that money to repaint the front bumper. Ok, I drove 3 hours so lets see if we can work something out in price. NOPE!!! They would not move at all on the price. I showed them a car on Ebay that was an 03 cobra with 700 miles on it. The car is mint inside & out. Buy it now was $31,000. The owner is a car collector & they car is show room new for $1,000 more. Thier car looked like crap for $30,999. I told them that I just missed on buying a car on AutoconnectionUSA that was 10 times nicer for $26,900. They looked at me like I was lying. I got so mad. These people were SO RUDE & PUSHY!!! I left with my wife so bummed out. Man I love the cobras. So, I must again say how nice Brandon & Joe have been to me. I know everyone needs to made a living but from what I've read & seen you both also want to make dreams come true. Not many people want to do that anymore. Hats off to you.I really hope I can find a car though you.
I know you have the info but here it is again. COLOR: White,Redfire,Torch red or Lasor blue. Hard top. Only non stock parts I care for are cold air kit, smaller pully &/or cat back exhaust. Other than that I want it stock in & out. Miles 30K or less. I take REALLY good care of my stuff so I'm hoping for a clean car in & out(without the sandbox ). Also looking for a hard top. Well I just wanted to share this crazy story & thank you for any help down the road if something comes up.

Be patient Matt, Brandon will take care of you. You just have to wait for that right car to come along. Their not as plentiful as GTs.

Although I did not buy from Brandon, he helped me figure out which car I really wanted. From colors to performance. I eventually found a deal from and individual and passed it by Brandon. He gave it is seal of approval and I bought.

Brandon, I owe you at least a lunch. When Blue Babe is done and I bring Mach1Red over for a dyno, we should hook up.

Angry The reason we do...

Stories like that is why we do what we do! I used to own a car wholesale business in South Carolina and seeing what these guys would pull on customers is what inspired the creation of AutoConnection USA.

Treat people like you want to be treated!

Can you post the name of the dealer so other members can be educated on your experience. That is the reason we sponsor boards as well because we are an open book and if we pulled stunts like that the whole net would know about it.

In fact...I have heard through the grapevine that some of our local competitors are posing as people on other boards and talking crap about us...saying things that aren't true because they are getting upset that people are preferring to do business with us....Ironically the same boneheads that don't have the nuts to be an open forum because they screw too many people!

Be patient we will find what you want Matt!

Villa...want to see the new Mach....and...will take you up on the lunch!

Later Yall!

Brandon

It's amazing how I have heard nothing but good about ACU. If I had saved the money that I have spent on mods and just bought a Termi like I should have I would be bangin on your door. Keep up the good work.

Thumbs up Torch Red 34K miles in route!

Matt,

I have a super clean Torch red with 34K miles in route! Call me for details!

Also just picked up a 03 Mineral Grey with 22K miles. They only produced 302 Mineral Greys! I would be total confident is saying this is the cleanest Mineral Grey on the planet! 1 Owner...all books records...orignal window stick and SVT Certificate laminated....the keys still have the original tags from the dealer when he bought it if that tells you anything!!!

817-468-5714!

Later,

Brandon
