Garage heater...

Well, it's that time of year. I'm needing to find a heater for my garage. I've done the Kerosene thing, and it makes my eyes burn after a while, some something other than that please.

I see all of these wall mounted propane heaters, but they require a 100lb tank. How much is a 100lb tank full of propane?

Any other options out there?

Nick

Do you need it for your home garage, or for others? A good insulated garage door would help out with your heating the garage door. PM me I know someone that installs doors.

Not sure if the walls are insulated. Looking for an insulation kit for the garage door.

Get yourself a Grand Turbo on a rolling cart and then throw a pork shoulder on it while you work, then when you are done you can sit back with a cold beer and some good food That would make it ultra high efficiency and burns propane.

If you want alot of heat really fast, take your kerosene heater and put diessel in it. It burns cleaner and has very little odor. We burn them in our shop and the air force mandates us to use diesel fuel. It smokes more when it runs out but in a garage I dont see you running low on fuel much.

Also check your antique shops and flee markets for the old gas deerborn heaters like you used to see at your grandma and grandpa's house. They put out a ton of heat and dont use much fuel either. Plus they dont make any noise. My dad heats a 50x80 shop with 2 of them.

that shit is damn near $9 a gallon now, you can get it for around $6.50/gallon if you buy a 5 gallon unit. Still alot higher than diesel. fuel cost is bull shit, get a wood burning stove
