Anyone interested in a GTG for the Longview area?

I went out cruising like we used to and noticed that the old places are no longer in use. I overheard that folks are street racing at various locations using scanners to know where the cops are, but I am not looking for street races. Is anyone in the area interested? I've got a place, but could not condone to underage drinking, illegal activities, and whatnot within reason.

Yeah, the cops won't allow it anymore, if we have permission they find a way to take it away. Most of us just go hang out at our friends shops now. I'm bringing my car out on Saturday if my parts show up in time.

Yeah but if the person whom owns or runs the property is there at the time they have absolutely no wat to run us off. Now then IF someone were to give us written permission to hang out some where and bullshit about hot rods with the conditions that there were to be no fighting or drinking involved. HELL YEAH WE ARE INTERESTED. Or we can just hang out at my shop on harrison rd.

Alright, well all are invited to hang out at my shop on Eastman Rd.
Provided, I know about it and am present. We used to have a gathering here, but cops showed up one night when I wasn't here and noone returned.

Just got back from watching the races at Cedar Creek, had to leave early because the kiddos were getting cranky, and it was starting to look/sound like Yellobelly.

I have never been to any racetrack since Hallsville. I recently got my hopes up when someone said that people were working on opening it back up, but when I drove out there I was sorely disappointed. That place looked like shit. The old El Camino was still out there with the hood up, of course.

Yep, bored as shit, going for a cruise. So, if you hear a sweet sounding Fox GT sitting at the red light with a cam that talks like it has a pair, then that ain't me.

corner pocket over in kilgore... had trouble getting there though... Lightning decided it didn't like having its blower pulley on backwards (my own dumb ass fault) and threw the belt, thank god it did it while idling at my house... Note to self- do not press a pulley on backasswards jackass.

Friday night has been canceled due to the fact that the delivery truck comes that night. In the future we may start swapping places on Saturdays to my place in order to keep from overstaying our welcome over at the ever so gracious O'rielly.

AND then he makes the mistake of looking at robert while he is trying to start shit... Oh hell I think that was a BIG mistake robert has at least a good 40Lbs on me ... anyways the skinny little bitch left without fighting regardless. morale is DON'T START SHIT WITH THE PEOPLE YOU ARE HANGING AROUND WITH ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT THEM CUZ THEY MIGHT JUST KNOW HOW TO FUCK YOU UP REAL BAD...

Yeah, that little kid just wouldn't understand that we weren't laughing at him. I mean, he does drive a miata and wears wife beaters to show off his muscles . I tried to tell him 4 times nobody was laughing and he kept saying "let's take this across the street". I finally got sick of it, and said let's go. Bitch left as soon I walked over there.

We had a good time out at EastTexas Sonar. Everyone is welcome, but seeing as it is my place, I get to dictate who stays. Plus it's outside the city limits, and little to no traffic. I have to be there in order for everyone to hang out, though.

Matt, I'm sorry that one dude was a dick. That's just the way he is with everybody, even friends. If you get to know him he becomes tolerable. He definitely has some fast shit.

I'm not worried about it the only reason I even mentioned it was to find out if there was actually something wrong with him like mentally.

Well, given the amount of ricers and youngens with no respect, I would imagine we will end up at East Texas Sonar. All are welcome. I will be cruising around tonight after about 8:30 pm and will make a pass by O'reillys on Glimer Rd.

Here's what we had last time. The pics suck, sorry. I think it was from the lighting, but I don't really know anything about taking professional pics.

I want re-iterate that all are welcome. I will even admit ricers onto the property, but don't act like little children in wannabe gangs.

All are welcome. I don't know how this last weekend's GTG went because I was out of town. Every Saturday we will be meeting either there or E.T.S. where the pics were taken.

There is a few. I'm not sure if all that show up are members of this forum or not, though.

Mapquest this address for the Sat. GTG: 2220 Gilmer Rd. Longview,TX 75604.

It is really easy to get here from Tyler.

I loathe going to Tyler. If I can't get to what I need by using the Loop around Tyler, then I won't go.

GO LOBOS!.............

I wish I could make it...I'm in the DFW..I'll tell my old man about the GTG. He has a couple of cars GN and a older F-body with a LSx in it. I never go into Longview when I come home to visit my parents. I bet things have changed big time.

Not really....The Loop is wider, and stores have spread out. Otherwise, there is still the same progression of individuals that existed on the Loop from when I used to cruise it 10 years ago.

i'd rather not. I sold my mustang a few weeks ago anyway. I'm certain I would catch all kinds of hell for showing up in a vette.

Anybody getting out tonight?

I haven't been feeling too hot today, so I don't know if I am or not. Who all is gonna be out? I might get out if it's worth it.

How was the turn out for your GTG tonight. I got back to Carrollton about 8pm. Maybe the next time I am out that way I will look you up.

It was decent. I didn't show up until later, but there was still a few people out there. I didn't hear any Mexico stories. Maybe next week.
