I was born and raised in Odessa too. I just went back and it's exactly how i remember it, well besides the 100 new restaurant chains.

Yes, I've been here for 10 weeks and absolutely hate it. I got 2 more weeks here and if i ever have to come back it will be to soon.

I hate the Odessa area all together. I turned down Jobs in Odessa cause i hate the atmosphere. But I have heard there are some nice cars there.

Join the club. I only go back to Odessa to visit which is VERY infrequent. It's not a horrible place, it's just not somewhere I want to live ever again. I do miss the weather though. Dry heat and cool nights.
