Usually the Hot Rod shop is pretty straight. I have had work done at both and I will tell you Vinnie and his guys are good. If anything goes bad they will fix it. Now Mike will also, but recently (less than a month) a guy I work with had his clutch and a SC put on his GT. He drove it up north to Missouri and it was acting weird. The Car wouldn't shift clean and it was loud. Well it broke down in Oklahoma. The supposed King Cobra clutch that was put in wasn't there, it was actually a smaller Clutch that didn't fit. The transmission was toast. Mike said the guy who worked on it was wrong and that he had fired the guy. He then paid for the bill on this guys car and had the work done right. So I guess it depends on where you prefer. Usually a good price on gears is about $200.00-$250. Low ball 150.00 if you provide the shims and fluid. Good luck.

I'd call Lethal Performance in the future . Danny is fair with his customers but you'll have a hard time getting someone to answer the phone . They are twice as busy as Murrillo or the Hot Dog store .

Hot Dog store.... Now that is funny! I have been out to Leathal Performance and had my car dyno'd. They are extremely busy out there. I haven't had any experience outside the Dyno with them. Little off the beaten track but the scource is correct in business. They cater to all makes of cars. GM, Ford, IMPORT.... Bunch of good guys there, from what I could tell. I am a product of what I know. I will have to try them out on a part and see how they do with it. Its really the only way you will truly know.

I have used Mike, and Vinnie since 1998. Back when Mike owned Texas Jam. Like I said its really up to you. Both will stand by their work, both will replace the product if they are at fault. Both give good free advice. It all comes down to your own preference and your own gut instinct. Mike has worked on two of my buddies cars, 04 terminator pushing over 620rwhp, and an 04 GT 380rwhp. Then he tuned my own 420rwhp Cobra.

Good luck.
