This is a bad beast. It runs 10.4 on spray!

Here is racing a bolt on 03 cobra on 14 psi!

Nice. I just finished assembling a mod motor at the shop that might put down around the same amount of power N/A. Before the rebuild, the car with this motor put down between 420-440hp n/a. It is a 5.4 iron block built with ported Navigator heads, big ol' cams from Houston performance, high compression, etc... We might try a 300-350 shot, progressive set up with the F.A.S.T. Right now, we are just waiting on the Powerglide to come back from the builder.

Cars have been pulling those kinds of numbers all motor for well over 50 years now, nothing earth-shattering taking place here.

I was up there when it was Speedworks a long time ago and you raced a red viper with direct port. Was a badass car back then. I can't imagine what it is today.

yea, its been around the block. it wasnt mine back then but i did want it! Josh who owned speedworks had the car at the time. it passed hands to ozzie, then to finally to me.

Yeah but you won't be trapping anywhere near 137 mph unless you spray it like him. It's a fast car its just not easy to get all the ET out of it when it still weighs 3660 race weight and its a 5 speed.

I don't see many 302 street cars putting down 459 rwhp na? I know your 351 wasnt. It's pretty stout for a small motor.

i have 358" with 1 390 cfm carb and 16 pushrods that makes over 710 at 8800? I'm still not impressed with 300" and 4 cams making 450 hp lol, i've built twin cam inline 4's that were 1.3 litres and made 220 hp at 13,500...........

if i built a 302, 347, 351 or whatever the hell you want with cylinder heads that flowed in the 290-300 cfm range on the intake with a single plane manifold and it didn't make 500 hp i'd commit suicide.

lol. i am slow, what im saying is this isnt awe shocking power for that motor.
do you realize how big those DOHC heads are?? if it were a toyota or other import DOHC 460 HP NA wouldnt be that big of a deal. hell the LT5 in the ZR1 corvette put out close to that much and it can be modified to run over 600 NA fairly easily.

None of those are street car motors either.
