I'm going to see it Sunday, either up here in Sherman, or weather depending, i'll make a day out of it and take the bike down to Dallas and find somewhere to eat, then run up to Frisco and watch it at that bigass theater at the mall there.

I got tickets for the 3:30 show on Sunday at the IMAX in Colleyville. It's so badass to be able to pick your actual seats. I'm pumped about seeing this flick.

I saw it last night, and it is definitely an amazing movie...
I remember seeing the "previews" for it a few months back and reading up on it so I was pumped last night.

A MUST SEE

another thumbs up.... it starts out fast and never really lets up... its a quick 2 hours and 15 minutes... the fight scenes and gore are filmed in what I would consider a cartoonish or animated style so its not bad... the fight sequences are unreal and the Spartans are portrayed as complete badasses... gotta love those badass one liners thrown in there also...

overall, its a fast paced movie that keeps your attention and is well worth seeing in the theater...

Yep. This is definately one to see in the theaters. I wanted to kill something after I saw it!

As far as the story goes, it got a little too much mythical for me. If you read up on the history, the story was slightly bent, but did make for a GREAT movie!

Great movie. It was pretty much what I expected. Braveheart meets Gladiator. I was expecting/hoping for a little bit more Lord of the Ring type fantasy stuff tossed in, but the scenes with the creatures/animals were cut short. The nudity and occasional comic relief was a nice surprise. There were a few things I would have changed, but it was still a great flick.

Yeah, gotta remind yourself it's based on a comic book...not history. However, the History Channel is running a cool show about the battle of Thermopylae.

I saw it on Friday, fucking amazing. I don't know what all the dissenting critics are talking about, there wasn't much about the movie I didn't like. I'm going to have to go see it again in Imax.

One of the best things about that movie IMO is I didn't recognize ONE SINGLE actor/actress in the whole movie... instead of the same old tired ass recycled Russell Crow-Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie-Hallie Berry shit, they went with not so well known people and they did a great job...

I'm thinking the IMAX thing would be cool...

I saw it yesterday and all I can say is WOW! Great fight scenes and enough action to keep the time moving and myself interested. "We will shoot arrows until they darken the sky" "Then we will fight in the shade" Can't wait for the DVD.

Saw it at IMAX yesterday and thought it was pretty cool. The dude's wife is smoking hot. I counted 2 breast shot scenes for you Joe Bob fans.

A little of both. I have a history of falling asleep in movies. Or getting all wiggley. It's hard to hold my attention. (Though I had been anxiously waiting for the release date.)

I found the movie to be absolutely beautiful, but my eyes couldn't stay open!

On another note, the IMAX theatre in Colleyville has really comfy seats with arm rests that move up! Three seats made a comfy bed.
