Departed Movie............Questions

Just watched it and have a couple of questions.

1. What the hell did Leanardo leave behind with the shrink?
2. Who the hell was the last guy standing? (Last assasin)

Phone kept ringing and I missed parts.

A damn good movie.

I assume the envelope he left with the shrink contained all of the information regarding Wahlberg's character.

That's right, and it didn't show what was in the envelope, but I'm sure it had to do about the rat in the department.

I don't remember the movie well enough to answer the first question. But the last guy standing was the cop who got put on leave (Marky Mark).

The director was enough to get me out to see it on opening night. Bought the DVD last week. Great fucking flick.

SS, it never really was shown what was in the envelope, but as others have said I think it's safe to assume it was probably a copy of the disc, and instructions on how to get it to Dignam. And that coincides also with who the last man standing was, how he knew.

I like the rat on the railing at the very end. I assume that was something Dignam left, sort of a "here's your rat", when the cops show up at the scene.

I saw it with Sassy, and all I know is that the movie was freaking long!!! It was good though.

1. I think he left the shrink papers of his identity or something- after he met Matt Damon (sp?) and saw the envelope with the names on it and ran off. I'm not sure.
2. Mark Walberg (however you spell it)

watched it last night. damn good movie.

some bad production decisions made that make this movie run too long and leave some things unanswered or never touched. the story was solid but the editing makes holes hence the reason you ask what was in the envelope or did anything ever come of it or the whole baby thing.

I want to know some other answers.

BTW, I own this movie and its been now ranked #1 for me. LOVE it.

Im thinking since Sullivan (Matt Damon) was impotent, and Madolyn was about to tell William (Leo) something when he was handing her the envelope and he was like whatever it is, it can wait, she was about to tell him that the baby was his. I also think this because of the way she was balling at the funeral. Anyone else come to this conclusion?

#1? man, it aint that good!

yea, im pretty sure they imply its dicrapio's kid, but the fact the movie producers applied a lot of scene cuts right at the end of the movie to speed things along are exactly why this movie suffers.

are there deleted scenes and directors cuts on your dvd?

Nah, I didnt get the special edition. But DiCaprio is one of my favorite actors, thats why i like it so much. He can get into a role and just blend. Hes good.

ah here is the list of spare producers:

G. Mac Brown
Doug Davison
Kristin Hahn (she is new, so she probably didnt have much say)
Roy Lee

i dont know who had final cut, but i would bet scorsese didnt.

Probably not. I mean there were a few weird things, but for the most part, i thought it was done pretty good. And I liked the added humor with Wahlberg and Baldwin. Casting was done perfect.
