Who's got the hook up for a shooting GTG?

I will call around and try to get us a deal on range but I don't know any one that works at a range. So if you have a hookup let us know. If not I will do my best. Its time we all got together made some expensive holes in paper. How many people are intrested?

I really would like to find a place to shoot a handgun standing, at least 25m or preferably further.

I know most people are on the west side but throw up some ideas of ranges and what your looking for. So far I have:
Allow FMJ and more ranges than 25yards.
Standing handgun more than 25meters.
I prefer outdoor ranges myself, anyone have a problem with that?

I just say FMJ because that's the only ammo I have. But I'm sure I'll still go to hang out, just couldn't do any shooting at a non FMJ range.

If any of you guys make your way out to Lubbock between now and May, let me know.

We can go shoot pistol, clays, or rifle (FMJ friendly) out to 200 yds for $4/hour.

Don't know of to many ranges that allow FMJ's any more. I'd like to find one because it's a hell of a lot cheaper to shoot. I heard of a range over by The Devils Bowl Speedway that allows FMJ's. Anyone know the name?

Shoot a handgun standing? I thought that was every place? I know they won't allow you to shoot a rifle standing. I'm confused.

Fuck yeah. I LOVE shooting out there, especially compared to the shit around here.

Rapid fire on the pistol lines? Yup.
Double taps on the AR? Absolutely.
Standing, prone, etc? Sure.

Just don't shoot out of the canyon.

Not to mention, the scenery is a bit better.

But not with a dinky range, with something at least 25m like winchester used to have.

I shot there in the early 80s when they used to host IHMSA events. We worked our asses off building those 100 & 200m handgun ranges.

Then IHMSA changed the rules and all but folded, and it has just been a plinker range for the last 25 years

No shotguns or .50BMG. Other than that he allows anything. Only negative is distance.

There's also the private ranger here in Denton which has skeet, rifle and pistol with Rifle up to 150 yds maybe even 200. But you have to be voted in and membership is kinda on the expensive side.

If it is the one I am thinking of, I believe off Reagor, then yes it is super expensive but man it is nice. As long as there is no one there you can shoot handguns on the rifle range (out to 300m) but the pistol range is 100m. They have voice activated skeet, nice roads, nice covered benches, all the best.

Yeah it's a good place, my dad is a memeber there and it's always empty for the most part on weekdays. It's just if I go shooting he has to go since Im over the age of being able to shoot on his card as a family member.
