Thumbs up longest 1/8 mile now available

My buddy whose dad owns half of Redline told me today that they added another 500 ft of shutdown to the track yesterday making it the longest 1/8th mile counting shutdown area, 1/8th mile in the country. He ran a 4.80 at 149MPH in his rail car and still had room to shut down so it is surely room for us Mustang drivers Go visit him in the proshop(damn I outa get the hookup for giving him props like this )

On another note, my tranny will be in for this weekend weather allowing...so we shall see what a built AOD with 3000 stall does to my times, I see a severe loss of traction in my future!

Is the shutdown area finished now? When are they going to put up the bleachers. You can't see anything because everyone is crowded around the starting line.

There is land available to make it a 1/4 mile track, doubtful though as that is alot more pavement and the land purchase itself...Bleachers will more than likely go up late summer

That is a long time from now.
But, at least they are making the track longer so that all the fast cars will not have to worry about going off the end of the track.

1/8 mile

Hey Derrick let me know when you put the transmission in. I thinking about coming out there to check your car out.

Will do...having some trouble with the tranny, but nothing major. Linkage is different on mine than the one I bought from you...also have a lifter going bad sounds like I need to hurry up on the new motor for end of summer huh?
