Depressing Movie

Looking for a movie that just drains you and makes you feel miserable after watching it. Something along the lines of... something tragic happens at the beginning and it's never happy from there on out.

I saw "The jacket" tonight...it was pretty darn sad....has parts of desert storm in it....was a really good movie..just sad....

Bunch of sad movies mentioned but only a few were really tear jerking. How about " Were the Red Fern Grows". Its was right there with old yeller when I was a kid.
