What are the Ranger's chances?

A couple of weeks ago, I figured if the Rangers could stay within 3 games of the leader going into this stretch against the West, they would have a chance. Alas, they are 5 games back but damn, they have looked good of late. If they hold on tonight, they would be 4 games out. Opinions?

If they can get good play out of their pitchers and continue to hit the ball as well as they have been then they have a good chance of taking over the AL West. They basically finish out the season with Anahiem and Oakland, both of which are in front of Texas. They have no other chance of making the playoffs because they are 8 games back from Boston for the AL Wild Card spot.

Yup......one run given up due to a balk and then one from a bases loaded hit batsman...ouch that hurts.

I flipped off of the game for a sec and apparently someone threw a chair into the Rangers' bullpen at our pitchers. Boy that is classy by the Oakland fans.

No, they said that the fan threw the chair at the Rangers players after they started talking back to the fans. Apparently the fans had been cussing them out all night long.

Where did a fan get a chair? Hopefully it wasn't a wheelchair stolen from a handicapped fan. Though that would be funny, in a very mean way.

I have no idea. I turned it back on right after it happened. The announcers on Fox Sports said that a fan threw a chair into the bullpen area of the Rangers. The umps were saying that if anything else happened that the A's would have to forefit the game.

Tex just hit a triple. It was like 2ft from being a solo shot. Looks like the Rangers want this one pretty bad.

Well, the way the announcers are talking about it now, it was the Rangers who threw the seat at the fans. They made it seem like it was the other way earlier. My bad.

If not mistaken , I think it was F.Francisco that tossed the chair . Instead of hitting the asshole that was talking shit , he missed and hit some lady in the crowd .There was a lil trickle of blood coming from her face/nose. I don't think it was intentional , but still not a good thing to do .

Wow what a shitty ending. Not a classy move on either part. In the video, its obvious the asshole fan was taunting Rangers reliever Doug Brocail...and then out of the blue Frank Francisco comes flying in with a chair. The chair missed the taunting fan and smacks a lady in the nose apparently breaking it. I dont care how bad a fan is taunting, thowing something into the stands is uncalled for.
I seriously hope the league fines and even suspends the shit out of Francisco. Quite frankly, I hope the taunting fan doesnt get shit (though im sure he will sue, and win) but I feel sorry for that lady that got hit. She is liable for something, and I hope she gets something (though im sure she will get something crazy like hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not more).

And to top it off, the Rangers had a lead in extra innings and blew it.
