Here's my R1...

It's stock except for the rear seat cowl. Plans include a new sprocket, and a gear indicator. Future plans may call for nitrous or turbo kit. I have already dusted a Viper and blown Cobra while breaking it in.

we've gooottttt to do something about the rear fender. Doesn't it just bolt on, on that bike? You dont have to cut anything.

i have a bike that's almost identical, but mine looks better.

lol, all i did was cut the bottom reflector off of the rear fender, and sanded it smooth under my plate. looks signifigantly better.

nice bike!

yeah, the "dealer forgot to tighten my clamp ons" mod. it works great when the handlebars move around, and a bolt falls out.

my 600mi tuneup is tomorrow, i'm gonna have a word or two with them about checking the tightness of certain fasteners.

otherwise, nah, this thing makes enough power for me, i just want to learn how to ride it well. (until i get some money and then i want a corbin seat and.......... LOL)

Tuneup?! Hell, it's just an oil change! Tell me you're not going to let them charge you $175 for an oil change!

In that case, I'd get my free oil change done there. Mine makes a slight valve train noise at low RPM's in first gear. I have to get it going before it will go away, but I'm pretty sure this is common. I can't wait to see what consistency the oil is inside my motor.

yeah, but IMO, its fugly. Youre talking about the ones that go under the undertail and all you see is like 1/2'' of the tailpipe sticking down from it? Doing that you lose what little trunk you had left, the ability to take a passenger (gets waaay too hot) and the sound of a quality can.

Now if the factory did it, they would put the can under the seat with a bunch of heat shielding, more piping and even more heat shielding so that there was still a point to have a back seat. But all that added weight on an R6 would suck

I like highmount exhaust a lot better than undertail exhaust.

Beautiful bike..... Almost got the red, but decided on the silver at the last second.

Whoever said the undertail exhuast is heavy on these bikes....... have you actually had one apart and handled them?? My two baby cans are lighter than any stock single can out there.

Sorry....
