I have ridden them all. I like my zx6r. Only dislike is the harsh ride. Man that motha needs some attention in that department.

well if you dont like the harsh ride, why is it the best? I rode every single one of those before I made my purchase and the R6 was the best all around to me, thats why I voted for it

I love how I feel like I am on top of the bike. R6 felt like I was sitting down in it kinda i guess. And I love the color of my bike. Silver with a silver frame.

You forgot one bike. Triumph Daytona 600. I have ridden all of those bikes but the Kawasaki, and think they are all very similar minus the looks. I do believe my daytona handles way better than all of them but the 600RR. And all 600s are about the same hp rating. I picked the daytona because of its distinction. Everybody plus more have gixxers. I wasnt happy with my R6 and i have never been a fan of kawasaki's. The 600RR would be my pick out of the four. But dont leave out the British bike.

omfg, the R6 is winning?? The '04 GSX-R 600 would hand it his ass in the straight away and is a much better stunt bike. The R6 is a little better in the twisties, yes, but overall I would give the title to the GSXR600. The new '04's are badass all-around bikes.

I guess stunting and straight line are always tops in everybodys list on what makes a bike great

Personally I like my little SV650S, not the fastest bike out there but it is a blast in the turns.

Please. If I still had my old R6 you would get your ass handed pretty bad in a straight line anyday. I sold it to my brother and he was handing ass out to plenty of liter bikes at the track. It ran a best 1/8th mile of 6.6@109MPH and a 1/4 mile of 10.45@131MPH. Never seen any gixxer 600's run that before. BTW it was an 03 R6. Matt who goes by STROKD on here now has it.

Yamaha baby.

no, apparently the only thing u like about bikes is twisties. we are talking about an overall bike. even though the r6 may be a lil faster in a corner, OVERALL, it isnt #1. thats my opinion and it won't change. I've ridin both and prefer the GSX-R

I have ridden both as well. I think the Yamaha is a much smoother bike, it's not "clunky" like the Gixxer.....the frame is WAY more rigid with the new one peice frame.....you won't find a better 6 out there for the money imo. Gixxer guys buy a name, the quality and performance are not what they once were.....get used to it.

Well going by what you said it makes it sound like straight line performance and the ability to "stunt" are important to you but IMO do not make a "Best in class" bike. I'd look at ergonomics (how comfortable the bike is), handeling, power, and reliability. I wouldn't classify "stunting" as a major factory where as straight line performance would fall under power.

If I could pick 2 bikes to be the best, it would be the yamaha and the honda. honda makes a damn good 600cc bike. I've ridden all 4 of the bikes and the order I'd put them in are:
Yamaha
Honda
Suzuki
Kawasaki

This is based on everything. Powerband, handling, low speed stability (stunting), weight balance, looks, straight line, braking, price, etc.

Yamaha and Honda feel the best underneath you IMO. They both have a great riding position, they are comfortable in the turns and under acceleration and braking. The thing that got me on the 6 was it's looks really. Its a damn sharp looking bike. The gixxer just felt cumbersome for a 600cc bike and the riding postion felt really awkward for cornering. Its a nice bike, but not up to par with honda and yamaha. Kawasaki needs to stick to making cruisers. I couldnt stand the ZX-6R. Its ugly, feels too upright for a supersport, the powerband is lacking and what the hell is up with the gauges? Could be a good bike for someone, but not for me.

LMFAO... ok, How many stock GSXR 600s run 6.7s? Mine went 6.6 with a power programmer and slip on, went 6.7 stock lowered with a strap and down 1 in the front. My friend has a beautiful Gixxer 600 and I think his best is a 7.0.

all of em are nice bikes, but I liked the color combo of mine best, and the fact that is was almost as fast as a 1000 in the 1/8th.

no offense to you, but that 6.6 also had ALOT to do with the rider on it.

None taken it had everything to do with it, but I guarentee the same rider wouldn't run a 6.6 on a GSXR 600...

my decision went from looks and overall feel of the bike, considering the numbers on all 600cc bikes are almost idenical. yamaha has always had the smallest bike since the r6 surfaced and i love small bikes. the zx6r and gxsr just feel way to bulky to me and make riding uncomfortable.

thats about all the gixxers have going for them is the seat. even my friend's '00 600 has a really nice seat (even tho the bike is nasty as hell)
