Road surfing!
tell me about your first spill. High-side? Low-side? Looped it? Attacked by a car? what?
What were you doing?

Taking a corner. Took eyes off the road for one split second and then wham. Went down only doing 5-10MPH. Broken clavicle and slightly scraped upper fairing. All back to new again and still looking good.
When you get a bike JC? You need to come out to bike night at Sonic tonight.

I've been lucky enough to have never been down. I have, once, almost looped at about 110 mph. A little scary. I had a major tank-slapper last week on 635. I don't know how I avoided going down. Be careful, there's a big ass bump in the left lane, north bound, just past Northwest HWY exit. That was the most scary!

There is a saying about a rider that has not been down. Don't remember what it is but it is just a matter of time. I thought I might be a lucky one, but I think it hits us all at one time or another.

I was on my way home one evening with my cousin following in his car and it started raining. We were at a stop light waiting to turn left and as I went green I rolled forward and started turning in when I hit a newly dampened oil spot. I wasn't ging fast and just rode the bike down, but my cousin was right behind and damnnear ran over me. Riding in the rain sucks.

I have not hit the ground yet. I know one thing. Somewhere last thursday leaving luna there are two bumps that go all the way across the road and I swear I caught air on both of them. GAWD DANG if I wanted to jump I would have kept my dirt bike.

My second wreck was the one that got me off of bikes for a while. I was taking a left turn in the outside lane of a dual turn lane behind a slow moving van. As soon as we rounded the corner we gained a lane to the right as we turned on to the new road. I got over to the right to get around the slow van and quickly discovered a stalled Silverado sitting in that outside lane. I hit the tailgate at about 30mph, the bike went under, I went over, and I landed just in front of the passenge door. I caught my mirror just above my pelvic bone as I went over (100+ internal stitches) and palmed the tailgate with my left hand and splintered my wrist bones. Blind corners are baaad mkaaaay.

Stupid beotch ran a stop sign.I Locked it up... tried to avoid her.
Almost had her cleared but..... Broken collarbone, disslocated shoulder and some slight rash where my jacket rolled up my arm. Bike was totaled. She had the nearve to tell the cops I just "wrecked in front of her" He went back and looked at the marks and said.... " Miss, from the looks of it you were travelling 40+ mph when you hit your brakes.. And that was after you were 15 ft into the intersection" Be carefull on those blind intersections, boys!

First time i was on my 03 Gix600 around February or so (cold!). I was going to my parents house from my apartment which was about 5 minutes away. As i'm pulling in the neighborhood some lady almost cut me off, so i sped up to get around her, which sent me into the next turn kinda hot...i made that turn then was on a long winding turn doing about 40. I come up on my left hand turn barely on the brakes. I notice a volvo coming up the other way which left me enough time to 'safely' make the turn, rather than slowing down. Well i go for it off the brakes doing about 35 and the road has a crown (which is more pointy than anything) in the middle and as soon as i lean it over, the front wheel goes down the ridge and with it being 30* outside and the tires not being warm, it just washed out on me. I smacked the hell out of my head, busted the face shield and scratched the piss out of the chin area on the helmet. The bike continued to slide on the frame sliders..which did their job..BUT the bike slid topside first into a curb, and the clip on slammed back into the frame and put a nice big dent in it. I ran over picked it up, bent the handle bar back and rode it home, like nothin happened. I do think i had a cuncussion for a few days though.
_______________________ Second wreck was on my NEW 03 Kawi636 which had maybe 800 miles on it. Within the first week of owning it i realized i could walk out some pretty long wheelies on it. Alot better than i could on the Gsxr. I was leaving a friends house one night, riding by myself on the tollway. I just got bored i guess and started picking up some wheelies. I did 3 good ones that carried out for a while. I tried one more coming up from the tollway to 121. I had it up 2nd gear sit down for AWHILE. the wheelie started coming down on me so i gave it a little more gas. The bike crept up slowly, then all of a sudden went past the balance point. I rolled completely off the throttle and was looking at straight tank for probably 3-4 seconds (or so it seemed) and the next thing i heard was the tail scraping. I fell off to the left of the bike at probably 100-110 and started sliiiiiding. I was sliding with my hands down and on my belly. After a while i thought i was done sliding so i tried to push myself up and that sent me into a long as tumble which was proceeded by another slide...which followed a nother tumble, then a slide until finally i had stopped. I got up to get the bike and was so disoriented that I ran prolly a 1/6th of a mile in the WRONG DIRECTION, and finally realized i was going the wrong way and had to run probably an 1/8 mile to get the bike. The front end was completely TRASHED, but the motor cases, and frame sliders werent touched at all. Which leads me to believe that the bike simply carwheeled to a stop instead of sliding like i did. Heres some pics of the 636 the way i picked it up. You can see in the 4th pic I broke the key solenoid off, and jammed the key in it, otherwise you know i would've rode it home

First accident.... Lowside in a parking lot learning... blah shit happens....
Second accident, on I20 between canton and tyler traveling about 70-75ish in the lane just right of the fast lane, a lady decides she wants in my lane and cuts me off close.... Her rear bumper struck my front tire and sent me off the left side of the bike. All I can remember is the thunk of hitting the ground, then sliding on my back looking up at cars coming at me, then i hit the grass and tumbled to a stop. Bike was fine, landed on the slider and hit grass way before i did. Third/Final accident, I'm out playing on some backroads by the Texas Eastman Corp in longveiw and I'm leaning in hard on every corner. I come into this sharp left and hit gravel on the apex of the curve. The bike THEN goes verticle, tank slaps hard and sends me off the road still on it. I hit a tree going about 65mph, broke both collar bones, my right shoulder, 18 out of 19 bones in the human left hand. Along with some other misc injuries, i laid on the side of the road for about 3 hours before someone found me. Now I'm fully totally fine, just hella arthritis in my hand and some definant tips to pass on.... DON'T ride stupidly and DON'T ride alone if you are going far/somewhere remote....
