Eclipse alum. subs?

Are these subs worth the cash or...? I've gotten mixed reviews from people on them. Some swear by, them others wave them off.

Comments?

I have the all black eclipse subs and am very happy with the way they perform and I know the alum. subs are way better than the ones that I have.

eclipse alum. subs

Yes, these subs are very nice subs for the money but I've found that my JL audio 12w6's are far better because of the costs, efficiency, etc...

JL 12w6's will run you about $190 compared to eclipse's $250 a piece, and my system is hitting about 152 dB which ain't bad for 12w6 x2, running off of a PPI PC2600. Total in all I've run about $900 in my system and although I don't go to comps. or anything I've dB dragged some of my friends, one of whom has eclipse 12alumDVC's x2 and tested right around 150 dB running off the same type amp. Also, I blew the hatch window out of my 89' hatchback when I turned my amp to about 75% gain, pretty funny shit till you think "fuck gotta go buy a new window.

10w7

Hell find just one JL 10w7 (good luck and I don't really know how much they cost) and plan on hitting the ground unless you have heavy springs. Seriously, these things literally blow apart the sub box they were in, didn't blow the sub though.

Hit Man X,

It depends on what you are trying to achieve.

I personally like the aluminum Eclipse for its sound quality and fair amount of spl. In my opinion it is a good mix of both.

I do think however, there are better sounding or louder subs out there.

Just depends on what you want.

Hitman.. thouse alum eclipse drivers are great, fantastic for sound qul, but the nice ones were pretty big bux last i checked, well over what a 12w6 or comparable would set you back, and delivering no more performance. Cool look none the less, but save on the alum, and get a better headunit or something.

I am not looking to go to any comps. I just like good clean sound.
I got a couple of PPI A200's (one for each sub) that I am gonna run the subs off of.
