clips for the shifter bezel

Can I have one of you guys check on something for me, What I need is the retaining clips for the shifter bezel. when I pulled the
bezel out to put in the new shifter those clips went flying, and never found them. I tried my local ford dealer and they told me I had to purchase the whole shifter bezel to get these clips. Is this true? Oh yea its a 00 GT. Thanks-Steve

Are the clips plastic and actually a part of the shifter bezel? If it's like mine, even though it's an 87' I think it's basically the same, you'll have to get a whole new shifter bezel.

No, they are just a metal clip that slides on to a plastic tab.

You might have to find a mustang parting out and take them then. There's a lot of parts through ford that are sold only as a packaged thing. For instance, you can't buy JUST a side mirror on an 03' Expedition, you have to pay for the entire assembly which includes the housing and everything.

call 817-498-8838 and ask for Bruce Crabb ext 658 in parts and tell him you are a member of the board and he will get you the price.....I apologize for passing this off......but the mountain of paperwork on my desk is preventing me from breathing!!!!

He is the guy I go to for the pricing anyway.....he's a good guy and knows what he is doing.....
