Question what subs to put with Orion HCCA 225?

i have an orion hcca 225 amp(lil' red amp, as they are known), its suppose to put out around 450-500 watts in a 1 ohm load i believe. i'm thinking of running 1-12" sub in a bandpass or 2-12" subs in a sealed enclosure. anybody have any suggestions? i'm thinking about 2-12" audiobahns, but don't know yet. thanks!

If you wanna run it in a 2 ohm load with 2 12's, make sure you get single voice coil 4 ohm speakers and brigde them.
If you want to run 1 12 in a 2 ohm load, get a dual voice coil 4 ohm speaker and bridge the whole speaker.
Im not a big fan of audiobahn, but its whatever flips your boat.
You need some of these:

i've heard bad things about those square subs tearing up on the corners or something like that. you ever heard of that? i was just saying audiobahn cause my buddy runs a shop and has 3-12" audiobahn subs in a ranger with one of the big audiobahn amps and it hits VERY HARD!!!, but i'm open to any suggestions. thanks!

No prob with any of the generations of solo's Ive had.
Im putting 1000+ watts to them right now.
If I let it jam at full DB, I can smell the voice coils starting to cook.

Depends on the bread you are wanting to spend.
Dont go with Audiobahn. They are Bazaar Crap, IMO.
I would say a single Alumapro.
But if you dont want to drop that kinda cash go with Perfects or Eclipse Aluminum sub.
Infinity Perfects:

Alumapro:

Thumbs up eclipse subs!

i have a friend that has a 12" eclipse sub in a custom made box(not really a bandpass, more like a toby ranger style i guess...u cant see the sub and it has a big rectangular port) with a 6 ch. soundstream amp (the old blueish grey ones)pushing the whole system like 50x4 to mids/highs + 150w bridged to the sub...i think. anyway it sounds very clean and has just the right mix of treble and bass!!

DAMN!
Those aluminum speakers look cool. Who much wattage do they take?
Someone posted up a pic of the new JL's.
Looks to me like they finally got their shiznit right.
Those speakers look 2500w+capable.
I wonder whet the inclosure specs are?
