DBL for 2 15's on 2000+ watts!
Ive been going around trying to get a dbl reading on the new system but no one has had a dbl meter, even at all the shops.
Joel at Josephs called me and told me that they picked one up to tune their BUG. (11 sony explod 12 on 5000 watts) I shot down there to hook it up.................. Their bug with 11 subs only hit a 157.8dbl wich is great but I thought it would hit harder. We hooked the dbl meter up yo my pos and with jus some van halen jammin' I hit a 148.7 DBL! Im not a van halen fan, but you havent heard any if you hadnt heard it at about 150 dbl. Next I put a bass cd in made for compititions and I hit a 151.2 DBL! NOT bad for only 2 subs! But in the process, one of my voice coils got smoked! They replaced it with a smile. Just goes to show how fragile a speaker with 1000+ watts can be.

It sounds like you have a nice system!
![]() Dude, be careful about your ears! Sound pressure like that will tear your ears up instantly. Even lower sound levels at longer periods are detrimental to your ears. I know that the amount of distortion in the sound has a lot to do with it but loud is dangerous any way you look at. I’ve had a few nice car audio systems in the past (Stillwater/Kicker sponsored me once) but I never paid much attention ear protection. I whish I had because now my hearing is terrible (constant ringing and tone deaf) and I’m only 35 years old.

ahhh I remember hearing about Kicker coming out with square subs, I actually designed a square sub back in 92 in drafting class, guess that's just another thing I missed out on
what amps are those? I have been out of the stereo game for a couple years now.
