Oct. 27th Annual Autumn Trails Car Show

I got this e-mail from a friend. Just passing along some information if your interested.

Saturday Oct 27th is the Annual Autumn Trails Car Show in
Winnsboro Tx.
If you have never been, this is a real big event. I have attended the
show for over 20 years and it has never failed to bring less than 300
cars, trucks, and motorcycles. The cars are lined up just outside of
town and parade into the downtown area where everyone parks the cars
for viewing. If you register early, you can get a goodie bag and dash
plaque. However, this show highlights the real antiques - lots of pre-
1940's vehicles. But, there are a number of clubs that always turn
out as well - Ford Thunderbird club, Corvette Club, Studebaker Club,
Muscle Cars, just about everything.

Although this show is not a voting event with classes, it is a lot of
fun to attend. All the antique shops are open, plenty of Bar B Que,
there is usually a swap meet, and then there are the Autumn Trails to
tour (which are also fun to drive - rolling hills with plenty of
twist and turns).
Not too mention the beautiful fall foliage.

The parade starts at 10:30 am. Line up starts at about 9:00 am for
the parade and is just NW of town on highway 11. For those
interested, we could meet up with my other car club (the E-Cruisers)
in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Greenville, Tx. at 8:45 am to drive
down together. It takes about 45 - 50 minutes to drive to Greenville
from Dallas at I-30 and 635. If you live near McKinney, it is only
about 30 minutes to Greenville down Hwy 380. The Wal-Mart is at the
corner of I-30 and Hwy 34 on the South side of the hwy. You can't
miss it.
From Greenville it is another 30 miles to Sulphur Springs down I-30
where you take the Broadway St. exit. Turn right on Broadway and go
about 1/4 mile and take a left at the Y on to Hwy 11. You can't miss
it, there is another Wal-Mart where it Y's off. Winnsboro is about 18
miles from Sulphur Springs.
