broken kicker zr600

ive got a kicker zr600 powering 2 kicker L7 12's. It has worked fine for a month, but now its skrewed up. it works fine on low volume, but when i turn it up it turns off and it'll cut on for 1/2 a sec and turn back off for a while. i found that when i pushed on the amp, it worked, but when i took my hand off, it quit again. and on top of that, the guy who installed it put a 10ga ground wire that is like 3ft long on there with a 4ga power wire. dont know if thats important or not, can someone help me find the problem and/or solution?

you need to bitch slap the person who "installed" your system.
Not only could a smaller gauge ground burn up your amp, but it can burn down your car. There must be an even path. But that does not sound like your problem. I would take the amp cover off and check the rca jack terminals on the amp. They may be loose and need to be tightened or saudered.(warranty void)
It could also be your remote(turn on wire) or some out put problem with your raido. The best thing to do is to check with a GOOD shop around you.
And.. FIX THAT GROUND! 4 gauge power wire needs a 4 gauge ground.

F Upped Kicker

Sounds like a cold-solder joint on your RCA Terminal(s).

Good news is, Kicker is a very good company and will probably fix the problem with no wother cost to you other than shipping.
