THIS GAME SUCKS!!!!!!!!! I bought it and hate the online play. The first person is OK. The only reason to play this mess is if you want to be completely frustrated by a game. I wanted to punch small kittens. I will finish the single player and sell it.

But really, i've used that thing with iron sights to spraynpray, and put the 4x on it and taken out people at a distance.

Just got the 12x with the recon kit. I hate sniping, but i love using it to anti-snipe.

I don't judge a game on sales. I judge a good game on if it works and is enjoyable. Sales on computer games are non-refundable as well. If I could have I would return the game. Unfortuantely I can't so EA/DICE gets to record me as a sucker.

As for what gamers want - I bet most people bought BF2 because of the vehicles. Being able to roll around in a Multiplayer environment in a tank or helicopter is certainlt attractive. MW2 is strictly on foot. There are things I like/dislike from both games, but the dislike list is longer with BF2.

I've never really been too found of "Shit, i just got shot. .. i need to go hide so i can auto-heal", but dealt with it because that's all the games were doing. I like that when you get shot, you are hurt, and you are just closer to dying, unless getting healed.

I love the focus on kits. IMO, it keeps the game balanced, and gives you a clear idea of what you can, and can't do. If a tank is rolling through, and you aren't an engineer: fucking hide.
If you are an engineer: Tag that fucker, then allow your team to release a volley of rockets up it's ass.

Teamwork. You have to use it. No team work = your ass getting stomped on. Finding good team players helps you extend your friends list, and makes the game more enjoyable. Everyone is out for #1 in MW.

I've noticed a huge lack of 12 year olds. This is a HUGE selling point for me. Seems like they can't grasp the concept of the game, so they don't play it.

And you're right, vehicles are a selling point. They should be, they're fucking awesome.

Maps. . . . fucking huge maps. Ballin'. Snipers are actually snipers. They're not someone who'll shoot a rifle bullet at you, then switch over to their magically anally concealed dual 1887 shotguns that they magically akimbo all over the fucking place.

Camping doesn't get you "kill streak rewards". As a matter of fact, unless you're a medic or assault, camping is actually going to hurt you, since you can't sit there and auto heal between camp kills (unless you're a medic), and taking another kit isn't going to magically give you ammo. You've got to work for that shit.

Boats, Jet Skis, Quads, APCs, Humvees, Tanks, Attack and carrier helicopters. . . hells yea.

I've liked kit based games, and battlefield games before modernware hit the scene, so maybe i'm biased, but it just feels like a dumbed down game. Fun, but dumbed down.

BF Bad Company 2 feels like...wait for it.... AN ACTUAL BATTLEFIELD. You have hills, bridges, walls, etc There is SO MUCH strategy in this game and has very many levels to it.

So, in n00b speak so you get it.

CoD:MW2 - Run around, shoot....yay.

BFBC2: Actual strategy, teamwork, feels like its actually war


It's just a better game with a fresh new twist on everything.

Then you're one of the people that needs to find a squad to play with, and learn team work.

If you're a medic, watch you map. You'll see health signs over team mates that need health, or you'll see a flatline sign over ones that need reviving.

If you're in a helicopter getting shot at, and you're an engineer, move your ass to the back and start repairing it so your team mates can keep laying down fire.

Same thing for tanks.

Jump in the uav, tell your squad where people are, while shooting at those people from the UAV. It'll benefit your team.


Notice everything above had the word team in it. No Team = No fun.

See a sniper behind a wall, peeping through a window? Well, sucks for his ass that walls can get destroyed, and if he's close enough, boom, he dies with it.

If you don't ahve rockets, tell an engineer on your team where he's at. Boom. he's dead.

If you're the assault kit, drop ammo packs near team mates whenever you can.

Change classes on the fly to counter whatever is being thrown at you. Snipers kicking you ass, counter snipe.
Vehicles fucking you up? Change to engineer.
Bases getting over ran, change to assault for better close combat. Change to medic to lay down lmg fire, while reviving team mates.


You can't run and gun like MW and hope to get ahead, it just doesn't work. If you play for yourself only in this game, you will die, you will suck, and this game will suck for you with that mentality.

aside from the disappointing server issues last week, i just have to say if you dislike this game either:
- you haven't given a real chance and figured it out yet. (maps, player types, strategy)
- you are tired of getting killed. advance a few levels, unlock a few things and it's a whole different game. i was on the beta and i didn't like it for a few days..
- you just don't like MP FPS games.

hands down, this is the best FPS i have played since Counter-Strike Source.

I'm finally getting some decent rounds, busted off a 6800 last night. Game is worlds beyond COD. I like there is no Rambo run-and-gun in this game, and no 10 year olds screaming at you....

Until people put some time into it, get some unlocks, and get semi-used to the gameplay, this game will probably suck for them.

but it was because I got the 5 gold star insignia (10k points) and another insignia worth 5k points.
I remember in bf2 you could view your character and unlocks online, is this possible with bc2?

Man I got 28k points yesterday... but I had most of the heal revives and engineers and marksman awards thats how... 8k regular then all the pins and awards and shit I was like WTF!? I went up literally a level and a half whcih i went up two levels that round.

Its pissing me off on the PC, SLI is broken or something. The first round always plays nice, but the second gives me artifacts always. I can't explain it, but something aint right!

I had the same problem. When you get in the Havoc on that one desert map (conquest) you cannot see ANYTHING. But just turn down the brightness and turn the contrast all the way up and it nearly disappears.

I think you can run and gun if you want... however if you play selfishly then YOU WILL LOSE. You dont have to jump on mics and what not, as you can call them out with the Back button on XBOX... so you can call almost anyone out.

Most are on pc. I'm really hoping my local store will get this for rent. I dont feel like paying 60 bucks for a game i wont like. I've rented mw2 and even tho its run and gun most of the time it is still fun.

With that said, The last battlefield i played was awesome on pc. It really takes a team effort and i like that in a game. Its cool when you have those big maps to run around on as well. Cod everyone knows the spots and battlefield has its spots as well. But if your going to sit there for a game you'll be a lonely sole or you wont live long if its a hot spot.

So Wednesday night, I check the leaderboard on the 360 version. There were people listed that had been playing for over 100 hours!!!!

At the time that I checked it, that's an average of 11.22 hours a day that they have played the game!!!

I've never been big on online gaming, but I've heard too much good stuff about this game online, along with some others.

There are some fucking morons playing this game.

There was a sniper on our team at one point that for an entire fucking round, he had 2 kills. 2. .. fucking. . . kills. He never moved until close to the end of the round. Even when he was running around with us, the fucker was still trying to snipe in motion. . . worthless.

I was a medic at one point, when he died next to me. I said "i'm going to miss out on the points because i don't want to revive you as that class. Contribute to the team or get the fuck out."

Another round, there was a team mate sitting on a stationary anti-vehicle launcher, trying to shoot people in the distance running across a bridge. I think he got one kill the total 5-7 minutes he sat there. Not only does this make him retarded, but it made the enemy team retarded for letting him sit there that long.

The other thing that pisses me off is the accuracy of the LMG's in this game especially with the 4x scope. There is no way that gun should be that bad ass.

LMG's definitely need to be tweaked, and spawn camping on Conquest maps definitely needs to be cut off.

i'm also confused why the m9, and m93r has such a big difference in damage, but shoot the same fucking bullet.

I'm having a hard time adjusting to the AN-94 after using the XM8 so much. In close quarter combat I still find myself going back to the XM8. I just hate having burst fire and getting railed by the M60 or something of the like.

That's the beauty of being able to change your kits on the fly.

Believe it or not, the 1911, Magnum Revolver, or 93r would be better for close range if you wanted to keep the an94 equipped while running by buildings.
