David, sweet collection.

the m-79 (grenade launcher) My unit still uses those. We keep them by the back door in our MRAPS, and in the turret when we roll in HMMWVs. They are all old vietnam era, but when the Army collected them all up, they came to us, and the other special operations units. I shot one as early as just 2 weeks ago.

We also still have 1911's. Not too many, but theres a good bit, and they are most definently used. Most of the guys that carry them, spend their own money, and modify them to their liking.

Both semis.

The Springfield Armory M1A.

The FAL is an Israeli light barrel manufactured by SBL Ind, in Israel and imported by Armscorp in the 80s.

I assume you have a pretty decent storage space for you and your dad's guns? Seems like a dedicated safe room would be in order. I imagine your gun room to be the firearm stocked equivalent of my old mans garage

It's a reference to a few stories on the net where some people have claimed falsely (alleged, of course) that they had lost their guns in a boating accident. This was to fend off the Obamanites when they come to get your guns after you refuse to claim them on your tax form.

I think the stories are real though.

<--- planning a fishing trip soon.

I am sure David fully understood what you were initially getting at, but thinks it's stupid.

nothing wrong with that at all, I am jealous.

I am not sure if I have posted this one but here is a partial family pic

my pops just bought a US Optic scoped POF in 5.56 and he has a .308 POF on order. I should be able to get some pics of those in December when he comes to town. I am envious of them.

I hope to get a more up to date pic with the rest of my tools next trip home...

It is a Remington 700 XCR in .308. I was in the market for the PSS but they made me a deal on that instead. The scope is a Leupold Mark IV 6.5-24X50 (I think, I have not touched it in months).

The XCR is a Remington tuned up 700, for what that is worth and in a Bell & Carlson stock. I would much rather have a McMillian A5 stock for it though. I had that stock on a .300wsm and it was fine like a woman's smooth ass.

For some reason this pic wouldn't load for me when you posted it. Now that I see it, I want it. Is it a DPMS and how much did you give for it? Do you have a range report for it, how does it shoot?

Its a DPMS 308, lets see... 250 or so for the magpul, 300ish for the lower, 800 for the upper, and 200 misc

Around 1500 I guess.

It keeps around 1 MOA although I only fired 10 rounds, I'm still breaking in the barrel, and tweaking the scope. DPMS says to clean the barrel after every shot for the first 10 rounds.

Nice, thanks. Who were your vendors? The magpul is an easy one. Who did you get the lower and upper from?

Would love to put a round or two thru it when you get her all broken in.
