There are 4 models, apparently. 3 are from the Reference series and one is from the Kappa series. One set from the Reference series is a component set, while the other 3 are 2-ways. The Kappas handle more power.
REF6800CS 6"x8"/5"x7" Two-way component system
REF6802CF 6"x8"/5"x7" Two-way
REF5752CF 5 x 7" 6 x 8" 2-way
KAPPA572.5CF 5 x 7 2-way custom fit loudspeaker pair

Has anyone listened to these? Was wondering if the Reference component set sounded better than the Kappa 2-ways.
Thanks

I have the 5x7" Reference Speakers in the rear of my 93 GT Vert. WIth just my 45x4 watt Kenwood head unit they don't put out much bass, but sound good. I just rewired my amp. to run my front and rears, sounds awesome. Love them. Good Price too.
Kappa's are better though. But for the money can't beat Reference. I'm happy with them.

Good speakers. Had 4 in my 97 F150. I agree, for the money they are pretty good.

I also have 3.5" reference, sorry I forgot. Front 6 1/2's are Kenwoods (they sound good) had 5x7 kenwoods in rear but they blew. suckage. Reference is great for the price. Eventually I'm gonna add a 6 1/2 reference to front.
Right now I have 6 1/2 kenwoods and 5x7 Reference running off of my Jensen 300 watt 2 channel amp. How should I connect up the 3.5" reference in the dash? I'm thinking just run them off the head unit.

i have heard infinity's are good speakers. i would assume the kappas are better. i have also heard they dont put out the greatest bass for regular speakers.
some of the pioneer 3 ways sound good, the 6x8's at least sounded good.
just run the 3.5's from the head unit, i would recommend only using the two channels, hmm, actually im not sure how you would connect them, it depends on how you have the amp connected tot he head unit

Well I am in the process of running new speaker wire through the convertible. Have the passenger side done. I want to run everything from amps in the truck.
System
Kenwood cd player 45 x 4
10" Pioneer sub, (Jensen 300 Watt amp blew my Rockford Fosgate Punch)
5 x 7" Infinity Reference
6 1/2" Kenwoods
3 1/2" Infinity Reference
I am going to run my 3 1/2's from my head unit with bass blockers on them.
6 1/2 and 5x7 run parrallel off my 2 channel 300 watt Jensen.
Not sure about the sub though :( I only have 1 amp.
Suggestions for that please.
The 5x7's and 6 1/2's sound sweet running from the amp, thats why I'm changing it.

well if ur running two subs on one amp, bridge that stuff and wire them so that ur running hte amp at 2 ohms instead of 4.

His amp is NOT 2 ohm stable, your advice would cause damage to his equipment.
