How to take screenshots in XP?

I'm troubleshooting an install of a game mod and need to take some screenshots of folder contents in explorer. Using the printscreen button isn't doing it for me.

Is XP unique in this?

I Print Screen and Paste just fine into Paint Shop Pro 6 in WinXP.

control then print screen button. then go into MS paint and paste.

I got it working... Had to do with accessability options in my install of XP.

You don't need to hit Control. Print Screen by itself, and then paste into an image editing program ... or you can even paste it into a Word document.

Alt + Print Screen will take a capture of the active window only, instead of the whole screen.
