l7 solo-barics?

I have 1 in my boat on 1200w. "old black prototype L7"

In my truck on around 2500w. This setup did a low 149 db/sp but I fried a amp and blew a speaker. Ive been with solobarics since the old "s" series came out and I have never had a problem with them loosing their thump, the speaker seperating from the surround, or problems with power. These speakers hold up pretty well up to about 1500w.

1/2 of that bigass box in the back is amp racks and where I put all the amps for my mids/highs. I dont know how much airspace for ports though. The box in my boat is almost as small as the speaker.

What'st the difference between the L5 and L7s? Is it just the power handling capabilities with the L7 being able to handle more?

im pretty sure thats about it, the l7 has a cast aluminum basket, i think the l5 has a stamped steel one though.

they say that the new ones handle more I think the old black ones hit harder. The old L7 (black) is 1000w and the new one (silver) is good to 1200-1300 I think.
